December 23rd is the deadline set by Congress for the states to send the electoral votes to Congress. I don't see that'll change. A month and a half is not going to change anything.

Vote by mail is super accurate and not fraudulent. I vote by mail in every single election.
I could easily see votes getting "lost" in the mail or something similar, but it's not like we don't have problems counting votes under normal circumstances anyway. We're THE western democracy, we shouldn't be having these problems in 2020.

Similarly though, I don't see what difference a month and a half would make in terms of the coronavirus as well at this stage.

Never happens in Utah. You get your ballot a month before the election and you can mail it in or drop at one of any number of ballot boxes in the state. So you basically have three weeks to vote. Raises turn out and allows the public to do some research before voting. I know, it’s a republican nightmare, but we’re a heavily gerrymandered red state and it works wonderfully for us.

Electronic voting is way riskier from a national security point of view.

That's what I meant. Only Congress can change the date, which they won't.

Florida will find a way I'm sure.

Obviously, this man is multitudes more knowledgable than I am, BUT:
I have not a single doubt that there is a huge amount of risk involved, I mean we even fuck up physical voting too, but if the only objection to blockchain was "people won't understand it," idk man. I'm a bit confused though. I noticed he keeps talking about voting machines, does everyone else just put a marked ballot into a sealed box? Every single election I've ever voted in was through this, which is something he claims cannot work due to a lack of trust and transparency:

I hate to be a BLM police-car-burner on this one, but I don't get how we can be flippant when it comes to talking about getting disenfranchised, drug-treatment, homeless, elderly, poor, and minorities all on the blockchain. Maybe they'll store their private key cryptography on the thumbdrives they will be required to carry around with them?

That smells of Silicon Valley solutionist cluelessness, totally out of touch with how large sections of the voting public actually live. And particularly people who are at risk of not ever having their votes even counted in the first place.

with chips installed through COVID-19 vaccine will solve that problem. But since Bill Gates is involved they probably will be as shitty as windows.

His plan all along. I should have known!

Bill Gates was just trying to get us all on the blockchain all this time. Only problem is that the vaccine chips will also carry a computer virus that replaces our brains with Windows Mobile 6.5.

There just has to be a more efficient system than what we have now. I can't see this as being the pinnacle of efficient and proper voting.

I should've taken a job in finance. 150k people dead. Millions hospitalized, 11% unemployment, -32% GDP growth for Q2 of 2020 and yet the stock market chugs on as if nothing ever happened. Looks like money really does grow on trees.
