Its really broken system. Its sad it become so par the course with corporate machinery that governs the polarising narratives, that even people being robbed by this shout silly stuff to defend it, with well conditioned talking points.


They managed to make a pandemic that should be dealt with sensibly and urgently, into a heated political circus. Because it suits their special interests and profit margins.

The concept of "Paying people to stay home" isn't going to work when 25% of the country believes the virus is a hoax, while another 25%-50% of the country is going to do everything they can to do everything they did before. That type of program won't work here because people don't care, so it's basically just another stimulus check, which means they should just call it what it is.

Why wouldn't that work? If you give poor people a check, they're going to take it whether they think it's a hoax or not.
