I havent been aware of any accomplishments, what are they? He is bussiness savy, and shifty type of character. But not sure in admin role wise, whats a rise to the top, or impressive about managing the middle east. He basically married into the family, and they run their bussiness almost like a mob, hire/promote all your immediate family and friends in your circle, competence be damned. I would be more impressed by any of it, the political "career" of the last 4 years, if it was remotely close to being on merit.

Trump probably like him, besides who his wife is, that he kinda reminds him of himself (minus the huge showwy persona), a real estate developer from a rich family who has been successful in the family bussiness, and diversfied into different things etc.

I wonder if it will be Kushner. obviously he's way too refined and too Jewish for the Trump crowd but possibly with Trump's endorsement? Either way he's seem the compotent and ruthless one than any of Trump's biological children. I believe he also has his own political connections through his parents.
Have you heard him speak lol? I doubt whether Ivanka would vote for him, let alone half the country.

Would have said the same about Stephen Harper twenty years ago. Zero charisma. But he was very intelligent, calm, quiet, rational guy, and got his points across very well in that way. Which appealed to a lot of people.

Not sure if it would appeal to hot-blooded GOP base though.

which is why I think it will be a runoff. Isn't it gotta be 0.5 or less for a runoff? Or is that for a recount? Each state is so different its hard to remember...
it’s already a runoff scheduled for January if I’m not mistaken, but those are historically close

Melania looks like she has no soul or personality, and is indeed plastic, but she is still easily the sexiest first lady. Doesnt even need to try. And its not suprising, unlike the rest, she was solely wifed for her looks and is a former super model. Prolly the best looking first lady since Jackie O.

She looks like Sofia Vergara's botoxed out older sister:

I think a lot of people took Trump personally... as in a personal attack. I know a lot of people who grew up in America but didn't look like Trump and felt they were being told, "You don't belong here. And I'm riling up the good ol' boys with guns to either shoot you on sight or drive you out."

IMO, I don't think there's that much for them to be celebrating other than a symbolic toppling of a symptomatic symbol of America's deep problems. It's the celebration over tossing a statue of Lincoln in the river. It looks good on the outside. But the fact is, Trump will still tweet. Fake news and conspiracy theories will still thrive. And the nation is still divided as ever.

Plausible. America loves mythical fakes over politicians.

Another reason I am in the camp of wanting jury-duty-like drafting into public service for politics now.

Mental illness will have to go beyond acceptance and into celebrated embrace for that to happen.

Absolutely. The American presidency is becoming a billionaire fashion statement, much like buying European football clubs has been for Middle East oil magnates.
Trump showed that not only is racism still a part of American culture, you can actually become the president through a campaign based on hate and bigotry. It did not just not work to his disadvantage, he actually benefitted from it.
