You should grab up some A Different World: Season 1 re-runs.

any show with sinbad and a character named 'dwayne wayne' is greatness in my book

Wall-E was OK. A little disappointing from Pixar, IMO.

Yeah, but the same is true for Italian-Americans and Sicilians for The Godfather epics. You just can't please everybody, and just because it's a movie doesn't mean it's a documentary.

That they did... save for that British director. :p

In all honesty, while I thought Slumdog was a bit subpar for a best film Oscar -- particularly given the other unheralded films that did this style so much better and with more riveting dialog -- I am happy that it won. It is a solid flick work seeing.

And hey, ultimately the subcontinent deserves some kind of street cred in the Western world.

i agree that the movie itself wasn't that good, but then again what really is these days?

The same also applies for Kazakhstanis for Borat and yes it doesn't mean it's documentarily depicting a particular country or group and this is exactly why I quoted Bozi's "shaming you with your ignorance of the conditions that these kids call home". This movie doesn't mean that lives of kids in India are in such an awful condition.

Wow. I didn't realize people would have thought it was that good. I thought Wall-E was one of the worst movies Pixar has ever done. Slow plot, low character development, goofy cartoonishness in space, etc.
But it got highly positive reviews from the critics and people mostly loved it. I think it could have been nominated for the best picture.

Was A Bug's Life Pixar?
Yes it was.
