Reports in the Portuguese Press insist Jose Mourinho is flying in to Milan today for talks with Inter chief Massimo Moratti.

It is certainly not the first time that the former Chelsea Coach has been linked with the club, but rumours of advanced negotiations are getting stronger.

Roberto Mancini is feeling the pressure following their second round Champions League exit to Liverpool and failure to secure the Scudetto would see him move on.

According to Portuguese media Antena 1, Mourinho flew out to Italy this weekend to begin intense talks for the Inter job.

The report cited a member of Mourinho’s “close circle” as confirming the news the two parties were in negotiations.

Moratti has repeatedly denied he will seek another tactician, but Mancini weakened his position substantially in the wake of the Euro exit.

Mancio announced he was quitting in the post-match Press conference only to change his mind less than 24 hours later.

A series of touchline rows with the likes of Luis Figo, Patrick Vieira and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have also made his position shaky.

Perhaps worse than all of those, Mancini had a public disagreement with the Inter medical staff only for the club to back its doctors.

Don't ask tough questions.

All the players and coaches in the world know how Juventini feel about Inter and they all feel the same way. That's why they are stupid if they sign for Inter.

I guess this is the answer because i can't think of a logical answer why is Mourinho stupid if he signs a fat contract with one of the 3 most successfull teams in Italy

Mourinho 'confirms' Inter meeting

Jose Mourinho’s spokesman confirmed the former Chelsea Coach met President Massimo Moratti this week. “Negotiations are advanced.”

The reports had come out of Portugal late last night that Mourinho had flown out to the peninsula, but today the official confirmation came through.

“It’s true, Mourinho and Mendes were in Milan,” spokesman Eladio Parames was quoted as saying.

“They left Lisbon yesterday and in the afternoon met the Inter President. Where? I cannot confirm that detail, but there was a meeting and I can assure you it was very positive.”

This is not the first time the former Porto and Chelsea boss has been linked with the Nerazzurri, but Roberto Mancini’s hastily retracted resignation and Champions League exit have made his situation untenable.

“This was the first time Moratti and Mourinho met face to face, but Jose and Mendes have had other meetings with Inter directors,” continued Parames.

“If the negotiations were not already at an advanced stage, then Mourinho would not have flown to Milan. You can be certain of that.

“How do I see it panning out? I don’t want to say anything, but my sensations are positive. If we see each other again in a few months I’ll have to try to improve on my Italian…”

Because inter couldn't win anything since Angelo Moratti's vitamin reinforcement.
:lol2: , good one
I suspect Angelo was taking these "vitamins" himself 9 months before his 4th child was born because only a father on drugs could make something like Massimo Moratti !

A guy like Mourinho won't care too much about history. If he did, and he wanted to coach some of the most successfull teams in the world he wouldn't have accepted the offer from Abramovich and become a manager of a team like Chelsea, winless for decades before Jose joined them.
He cares about the money most of all, and perhaps a little about a challenge. And transforming Inter into a European power that will successfully fight for the CL trophy is a good challenge.

Mourinho rubbishes Inter rumours

Jose Mourinho has denied holding talks with Inter Milan over becoming the Serie A leaders' coach next season.

The former Chelsea boss, 44, issued a statement contradicting his own spokesman, who said he had met Inter president Massimo Moratti for talks.

"I say categorically it is not true that I went to Milan, that I met with Massimo Moratti," said Mourinho.

"It is just false to say that I am on the point of signing a contract with Inter Milan."

Mourinho was responding to comments made by his personal advisor, Eladio Parames, who claimed the Portuguese and his agent had travelled to Milan.

"It's true they are in Italy and will return to Lisbon on Saturday," Parames said on Friday.

"Of course, it was Inter who contacted Mourinho and his agent, not Mourinho contacting them.

"He (Mourinho) has always showed interest in working in Italy, and he received the contact with pleasure."

Inter coach Roberto Mancini, whose contract runs until 2012, announced on 11 March he would be stepping down from the job he has held for four years after his side were knocked out of the Champions League by Liverpool.

However, the 43-year-old quickly backtracked and stated his desire to stay the following day.

Mourinho, who lifted the Champions League with Porto before guiding Chelsea to two Premiership titles and an FA Cup, has been linked with a host of European clubs since he left Chelsea in September last year.

Inter have won the last two Serie A titles and this season are four points clear with eight games left to play.

We should pay Mourinho to be a plant double-agent and cause Inter to implode from within.

Oh, wait. We already got that in Moratti.
