That's not a big deal at all. The big deal and the patheticness lies in the fact that you actually sit in front of your computer screen, wishing and hoping that some forum member leads a meaningless poll on how hated he is by other internet users he has never and probably will never even meet in real life.

We were having a discussion yesterday on generalisations and stereotypes and how some people would happily point out exceptions to confirm the stereotypes with. Then I said:

"My French teacher used to say: 'An exception confirms the rule'"

Then Martin replied: "What a load of bullshit. There's no excuse for French grammar"

I see. French grammar is a pain in the arse I agree. Though at least the French have an excuse for writing incorrectly, unlike English native speakers

My all-time top three of grammar mistakes that make my skin crawl :

1) Confuse "your" with "you're"
2) Get "to" mixed up with "too"
3) Write "should of" instead of "should have"

Oh I agree. Category 1 can be expanded with 'Confuse "their" with "they're" too.

I'm lucky - my teacher despised such errors - she gaves us a drill-course that was navy-worthy and I never did it wrong again
