I really hope he comes back soon. We saw last season in the spring how important Momo is. Now we have also received Melo so Sissokos loss doesn't impair the team as much as it did then but he still is significant.

Good thing that there are World cup qualifiers in the first week of September so there will be no CL and Serie A football.

The third round in serie A is on September 13 while the first round in CL is on 15/16 September. That's +5 weeks from now and he should be ready.

So since we play Chievo at home in round 1, the only match where he'll be really missed will be Roma-Juve in round 2.

Sissoko out for another month Saturday 8 August, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus midfielder Momo Sissoko will miss training for another four weeks after failing to recover from foot surgery.

The Mali international went under the knife for a fractured metatarsal in March and was expected back in full training some time this weekend.

However, he continued to feel pain and was diagnosed with bruising in the area around the bone.

Sissoko was visited by expert medics today and has been told to take four weeks of complete rest with physiotherapy and specialised muscular exercises.

It is a blow for the Bianconeri, who have been without their star midfielder for five months and do not know when he will be available to play again.

Juve have been given two days off after the 4-1 hammering against Villarreal ahead of some tough friendly encounters.

They take part in the Trofeo TIM with Inter and Milan, a mini-tournament in Pescara next Saturday evening, then face the Rossoneri again for the Trofeo Berlusconi on August 17.

I don't want to ruin it for you, but the article you posted says that he won't be training for a month. That probably means that he'll start training after a month, but he won't be playing games because he won't be match fit.

He'll probably miss the third round in serie A vs Lazio and the first CL match. He might get some minutes on these matches though.
