Nope. He is a bad passer and I accept that. He makes up for it by other traits which you have mentioned. But against Haifa his bad passes were much more than what he generally does.

Then this "Yeah, steal the ball and then undo the good work by passing it straight to an opponent. Very productive" never made sense at all, because it's wasn't like that at all..

I tell you again, Sissoko's job is not passing, and he will never improve. It's not his job to pass balls or build attacks, his job is defensive only and not like Melo's. I don't know if you watched the game or highlights, he probably gave maximum of 4-5 bad passes, and they were not any dangerous, but what he did defensively was very important, his interceptions, with clean tackles when the opponent were having counter attacks were very critical, he did it greatly with clean tackles instead of getting yellow cards or giving away free kicks, this is what we should focus watching on Sissoko. He didn't give any harms and yet some of the members here are whining.

The way I see it a team is made up of players that all have different traits and abilities that make the team strong. Sissoko has a weakness in passing but more times than not his passes find where they were intended to go. I know he makes passes but he also completes a lot. Just like he makes a lot of good tackles, he still misses a few. The same goes for any of our players, no one is perfect and they all make mistakes in areas that are deemed their strengths.

My thoughts also. You have to give him time. Fiorentina was his first real game in a long time. He's getting better, and back to form, so his passing should improve a little at least. You can't deny how much pressure he has taken off of our defenders since he's returned though.

I think the return of Traitor has a lot more to do with that...him and Chi work really well together...but yes, the defensive aspect of Momo's play was never in doubt

I think the sharpness will come back once he gets another game or two under his belt. He just came back from a long lay off, I am sure his legs feel like rubber right now. But we never looked to Sissoko for his passing, its what he does when he doesn't have the ball that earns him his pay check.

No I agree that he should work on it, totally since he is in the midfield. He does get us into some tough situations, all I am saying is don't be surprise when he makes a bad pass


I personally expect it from time to time, but I am still much more secure knowing he is in the MF instead of a poulsen or tiago who can pass.

Give Sissoko some time to get fit and get used to the new system, then consider how his game compares to what it was before.

Everyone knows his passing isn't great, but there are enough technically sound players at Juve that Sissoko shouldn't have much responsibility when it comes to distributing the ball
