Juventus director general Luciano Moggi has mocked Pantaleo Corvino's claims that Fiorentina have never tried for Adrian Mutu or Manuele Blasi this summer.

Moggi said of his Fiorentina counterpart: "I cannot see how Corvino can say that Mutu and Blasi did not interest them. For the past twenty days they've asked for them and we have not ever accepted.

"Maybe Corvino is joking? Or he has not spoken with his club!

"The truth is that they have been asking after Mutu and Blasi for a long time and nearly every day. We have always said no.

"Evidently there are some differences between Fiorentina and Corvino."

does he have more power than Berlusconi or Moratti?
i doubt he has as much power as Silvio, as owns the mdeia and is the head of state.

Pantaleo Corvino is one of football's greatest director generals. He has a keen sense of finding young and talented players in areas not too many look, and is able to persuade youngsters to join the club he's working for.

At Lecce, Corvino found great talents such as Bojinov, Ledesma, Vucinic, and Konan out of nowhere basically. Now at Fiorentina he is bringing youngsters such as Montolivo and Pazienza, as well as other good buys like Fiore and Toni, setting Fiorentina up for what should be a successul season.

What a pathetic way to make him more liked to the Juve fans by making fun of Fiorentina, how unprofessional.

    sorry vlatko...tbh, i don't really like it...

moggi more or less ruins our image built up by our hardworking players~~

sometimes, keeping silent is the best way to deal with rumours and those annoying reporters....a senior management like moggi should know this well...

yes.professionalism is at its best at roma.freezing a player out of the squad bcoz he doesnt sign a contract and wants to move.putting his wc chances on the line.
