The home stretch and Mets fading 5.5 games behind us. Complaints about weak bullpen pitching but now having Duran is unreal though middle/setup relief is hit or miss at times. Very weak hitting outfield but there were no players worth getting in a trade. And who has what Philly does on paper with starting pitching.
Last sentence probably why #2 choice for World Series champion. Come playoff time, good pitching usually >>> good hitting.

Locals not feeling as confident as national pundits but I like our chances. With deep, quality, starting pitching, team has two guys who can help in bullpen. Of course need patient/timely hitting that was experienced in weekend series against the Rangers to be there come October.

Not in good company with poor record teams at the bottom. Colorado record correlates well with record. LOL the 2024 White Sox who ranked last at -87 runs saved.

The regular season is going out with a bang. Divisional races, wild card races, MVP awards all up for grabs.
This last week has been/will be must watch.
I hate the Mets. Them missing the playoffs would be HILARIOUS, but also admittedly, would make it less interesting, as a casual fan with no real rooting interest to win it all. It's more "what team I'd rather NOT see win" than who I'm actually rooting for lol
