No, not really. Because if he doesn't show up means he isn't going to do anything worth while.
Always good for the build up play, regardless of form. Holds off defenders and plays clever balls to midfielders - that's the bottom line with Mirko in this position. So yeah, at his worst he's pretty much twice the player Giovinco has been for us.

The bold I can't disagree with. However the part after that I do.

and thats why we need someone reliable to convert the chances we create...because all of our forwards right now... including gio and mirko.... are inconsistent. So we need a Cavani or the likes who needs one or 2 chances per game to convert goals.

Shame we missed Van persie...he would have been so useful.

His only problem this year while playing as SS is that he is trying too hard to be Del Piero who is trying to find his Trezeguet. If he would just stop to make those one touch passes to his partner up front he would be great. He think that everyone can read his mind so he tries the most unreal passes. He should just keep it simple. He should be passing and moving, passing and moving. That is why they dont work well with Gio, they are both trying to act genius, NOT creative, but genius....there is a huge difference between these two terms.

starting him if he's not 100% would be a waste, we all know what type of performance could end up happening, coming off the bench like he did in Denmark would be more beneficial
