If we do sell Quag it might have to do with his injury. I guess our doctors know the best how serious the injury was and what are the chances for a repeat. If they think the risk is big then it's not to strange to look for a buyer.
The logical question that follows in this case is why did we decide to buy him at all and the only answer I could think of is that we were obligated to buy him, Pepe, Matri and Motta. You remember how Marotta was trying to buy Quag for a lower amount after the injury and how De Laurentis said that he won't give us a discount.

I don't want to win by default, I'm no inter. :p
You won't win. The most you can do is to go equal with Badass.
I'm also trying to give Badass some competition so he won't stop with Vidal and he'll continue the guru work. I don't want him to become lazy.

They reported the same 1-2 days ago but then Ferguson said that United's market is closed so the Italian media dropped the "Vucinic to United" for a short while.
But Fergie was obviously not serious.
Don't think he said it was closed.

He said something about not expecting anyone to sign before the Charity Shield, which is about 10 days away.

Makes sense. I read it in Italian and the most important part was (deliberately) lost in translation. They translated it as "Our market is closed, we won't buy or sell anyone". Nothing less, nothing more.

Manchester got enough options on the wings and forward, i dun't think they were interested in the first place. Where would Vucinic play if he do come?

Juve-Man Utd duel for Vucinic

Juventus are prepared to offer Fabio Quagliarella to Roma for Mirko Vucinic, but face stiff competition from Manchester United.
The Bianconeri had been in negotiations with Villarreal for Giuseppe Rossi, but now consider his €30m price-tag to be too steep.

Vucinic is available for €20m and has made it very clear he wishes to leave the Giallorossi following a row with the fans.

The latest sources claim Juve will propose an exchange with Quagliarella, who is fit again after seven months out with damaged knee ligaments.

However, Vucinic is reportedly tiring of the waiting game and is intrigued by interest from Manchester United.

It is suggested his agent met with United emissaries over the past few hours and were impressed by the offer on the table.
