Obviously backup plan. For the amount Roma are demanding, I would rather get a certain another Montenegrin player in Serie A.

    Vucinic has 'broken' with Roma

Mirko Vucinic’s agent admits “something has broken with Roma, but we are only in preliminary talks with Juventus” after a trip to England.
The striker is unhappy with his position at the club, especially in the wake of big changes from new Coach Luis Enrique and President Thomas Di Benedetto.

While Juventus are the current favourites to sign him, Blackburn Rovers have also shown an interest.

“I went to England in order to get a better idea of the situation,” agent Alessandro Lucci told Sky Sport 24.

“Don’t forget that I have another 20 players to discuss, so the trip was not explicitly about Vucinic. Premier League interest for Mirko was a while back and we haven’t talked to anyone.

“We are in a discussion faze to understand if the rapport with Roma has truly terminated. There is some unhappiness, as in recent years Roma only appreciated him occasionally. He wanted to stay here for as long as possible, but something has broken.

“We met with director Walter Sabatini and will see him again to realise if this is a dead end.”

It was reported this week that Lucci held a meeting with Juventus directors and he confirmed these rumours.

“It’s true I met with Juventus directors, but we talked about many players. They asked for information on Mirko, as did many other clubs. It’s still in the preliminary stages, so we cannot talk about a genuine negotiation process yet.”

hope it dies there, Vucinic is good, I don't mind him here
but if he was our champion signing or if he is the one to be prefered over Aguero would be disappointing

If we can't land any of the top strikers on the market then Vucinic would certainly be a good option if we got him for a reasonable price.
Sensible, mr Kyle...exactly my thoughts. A lot of people (mainly children or people who have not followed the game or Juve very long) seem to think that Marotta's idea of a champion is Vucinic, or that he could easily choose Vucinic over Aguero or Sanchez, due to his incompetence. I am of a different stance...

Just because Atletico Madrid have to sell Aguero if someone pays 45m, does not mean that its as simple as Juve paying 45m. Its about Kun himself, although from the quotes of the agents, it seems he has left his destination in their hands, likely suggested who he would prefer, and will leave it up to them..to a degree. Marotta cannot make Juve appear like one of the presently leading clubs in the world. Because we are not. And have been faltering rancidly for two years now. That rot that set it could have been avoided, but marotta wasn't here then. he came IN when the rot was already well set into our foundations.

SO if aguero +his agents turn us down, and choose a club like Inter, or AC, or Chelsea, or Man U, or Real or Barca, then I won't be blaming Marotta. Because it will simply be a realistic option for a player in very high demand, who is young, very talented, proven in SPain, and wants to move up from a team who can manage top 7, but never threaten for any true honours. that is called Ambition. On top of the chance to challenge at the very top, there are the financial matters.

better we get Vucinic, lich, masiello/beck, bastos, inler than just lich + Aguero.

    buffon
    lich bonucci chiellini ziegler
    melo pirlo inler
    krasic matri bastos

SUBS: vucinic, masiello, pazienza, quag, de ceglie, barzagli

People are insane on this board. You guys want Aguero??? Well, Aguero doesn't want Juve. Why would he come here when he could go to Chelsea, Man City, Real, Barca, Inter, Milan, etc. etc. etc. Juve has no Champions League ffs. Vucinic would be a dream come true at this point.

Vucinic is just a repeat of Amauri transfer, an oldie with no resell value and roma is demanding at least 20m, add another 10 m to that we could go for Sanchez or maybe Hazard rather than that inconsistent oldie.

Vucinic... an oldie ... inconsistent oldie.
FFS people, a 27 year old player isn't old. He's 3 months older than Lichtsteiner and 8 months older than Inler, yet nobody calls those two oldies.
Hell, he's more than a year younger than Cassano and nobody calls Cassano an oldie.
