one thing i do like is watching whenever we score and we celebrate we can see a tight knit group..pure emotion and passion..especially quag..they really used to look genuinely happy out there...im afraid mirko and his shaky temperament wouldnt add to that unity and may infact disrupt team morale...im just sayin...

at the end of the day...i want quag to stay in the family and im looking forward to seeing him fit and running out as a permanent player for us...mirko is a good player yes but...just not what im personally looking for...im one for team spirit out there...has always made JUVENTUS that much more special for me..

I dont want us to sign him, or atleast not too keen on it, but the reason you said is bs, hehe.

Vucinic's agent Lucci met with Juve yesterday to discuss a transfer. Juve confirmed their interest and gave Lucci their offer to bring back to Roma - 10 million and Amauri.

Lucci then travelled to Rome where he met Roma DS Walter Sabatini. His response?

'We want to keep Vucinic at all costs. If Juve are serious about him they can keep their over-aged, over-hyped and over-paid players. Bidding starts at 20 million.'

Juve have arranged to meet with Roma next week to discuss the deal.

Expecting Vucinic for anything less than 20 million is unlikely though. This was the figure he was originally brought for from Lecce and Sabatini sees his worth only as having increased. The new DS wants to build a young team capable of playing fast, attacking football so has no interest in any aging players Juve would offer as part of the deal. Vucinic's contract runs for another two years, placing Roma in a posistion to say no if an adequate offer doesn't arrive.

Let them say no, not worth anything near 20m at all. He should scored more then 45 goals in 148 games if he would warranted that.

:howler: Talk about overhyped.
Not by much though. In the league where Amauri was worth 22.8 and the completely unproven Matri 18m euro it's normal Roma to ask 20m for a player who at least has much more experience and success than the above mentioned two.
20m eur won't be too much for Vucinic if it involves overpriced youngsters. Something like Amauri's 12.8m+Nocerino+half of Lanzafame (the latter two valued 10m euro). If it's cash, I'd rather we don't splash it like that.

I could see this being our "star" signing.

Don't get me wrong, I like Vucinic and would be happy to have him upfront but this is still disappointing.

Not a bad player, just needs to pick it up and be more consistent but that is easier said than done. If he signs hopefully he does well.
