Marotta built a rod for his own back. Why not pull off the Vidal, Licht and Vucinic moves last Summer? This Summer I have to praise him with the deals and prices he's paying for players I just wondered why he did not do it last year.

Maybe he needed time to settle in, maybe he thought the players he got fitted Del Neri, maybe those players weren't available, maybe he actually believed in ItalJuve, maybe he's just lucky this year, maybe I'm guessing like a blind man at the shooting range. Who knows?

Still not comfortable with Marotta though.

This just isn't correct. When Vucinic is at his best he is at a level, where Rossi is still to play.

It's only Vucinic inconsistency that has prevented him from joining one of the really big teams in the world.

Inconsistency isnt a minor thing, its a HUGE thing, when Vuci has routinely gone completely hot and cold his entire career basically, from one half of a season to the other. Havent had a season like Rossi had last season (35 goals in a season, being the main guy for a good team for an entire season etc). He is skillfull and has good qualities (except finishing), but nothing to play down, how he is bit of Jekyll and Hyde in almost every season. Its not AN only, its the reason Roma are selling him prolly. Good for some big games and good form for a while, then completely dissapears. He needs to do considerably better then that for us, for me to remotely like this signing.

I think we can assume this is completed, Vucinic has left Roma's training and will probably attend a medical on Monday.

we have delpiero/quag/matri/iq/amauri/toni and if we sign vucinic its 7 players for 2 positions.
we should get rid of amauri and iq first. we could still think about releasing toni for free.... his wages are to high for a 5th choice striker....
