Of course but you were downplaying the seriousness of the injury. All injuries are different it can go well like with Insigne or it can go bad like it went with Strootman and Falcao.

Four months is not a realistic or safe target you double that and it's much more accurate. Marchisio will be back and strong but we cannot count on him for the first part of the season.

Four months is a perfectly realistic target if all goes well. As a physiotherapist I've done that multiple times. Add in another 2 months to be sport-specific game ready and you have yourself a match fit player in 6 months. Then form is another matter of course; as confidence and other mental aspects are important as well. Some players never return 100% but biomedically speaking 4 months is not irrealistic.

We can not speak for Marchisio anyway, it's speculation on either side since only the medical teams have all the info. Comorbidities can extend the rehabilitation time immensely.
