Yeah it's true that Pjanic is more what we needed than Pogba with this squad. Both are really different players so you can't compare them on a honest way. Pogba is an all-round box-to-box midfielder while Pjanic is a creative playmaker. Offcourse Pjanic is better in making the game (especially forward), but he is defensively far behind Pogba and also on physical level etc.

People say Pjanic is better, yeah maybe true AT Juventus. The word 'AT' is here the most important. If we already had Modric & Kroos in our midfield like Madrid, than Pjanic would be just a back-up signing and Pogba would be a worldclass player. It just depends on what your midfield needs and our midfield needed creativity. But don't forget: after Vidal we lost a huge physical factor in our midfield and Pogba makes it even bigger.

We all can't deny Pogba sold for a record fee and getting Pjanic for 30-32m is a big-big-deal, but saying we're improved is another. Let's see what the season does and after that we can make a better conclusion

We clearly improved. Only retarded fanboys can't see that.

We improved 'overall', but i thought the discussion was if we improved by selling Pogba and buying Pjanic. Offcourse we improved, our depth is unbelievable and getting Higuain, Benatia, Dani Alves, Pjanic, Pjaca etc. is a worldclass mercato. No doubt about that.

But we don't have those guys, so I contest that all that matters is that at juventus he is better for us and an important piece. You are right it is still early, but I like what he brings to our mid so far, and I like the way the team plays this year a lot more than last year.

So we aren't super physical, but with him we still have a very strong attack from midfield, excellent chance creation, accurate passing, mental fortitude, and he can score. He's a great FK and corner specialist, and showed good poise in the goal finish Saturday. Right now, I don't see a problem from being a little soft in order to have all those other qualities. Don't forget we still have excellent defenders and lots of good depth this year behind them.

Idc to compare him directly to Pogba out of context, the context is what separates a true cohesive team from an EPL money mashup. In our current situation, I am happy without pogba and having pjanic instead.

Yeah that's what I meant. We needed a playmaker and now we got him. Our (counter)attacks will now be smoother and we will less struggling with going forward. I agree 100% on that point. I just want to make clear that Pjanic isn't necessarily better than Pogba if you look to qualities. He fits better in this team that's true, but he won't fit that good by Real, they can better use Pogba.

So we have no discussion we got the same point :D :D :D

Oh and I want to add. I am very, very, very, very, very, very happy that we have a 'new Pirlo' in taking freekicks. Dybala wasn't bad but Pjanic and Pirlo are way above him

I think the main point is that no one really said Pjanic is better than Pogba. We said he was better offensively, and he clearly is, as evidenced by the fact he scored more, assisted as much, and created nearly double the chances last season.

Overall, Pogba is very slightly better (albeit with an uber high ceiling). I'd say in Europe Pogba is a top 5ish CM, and Pjanic is a top 10ish mid. Pogba's ceiling is the best CM in Europe, Pjanic's ceiling is probably top 5 cm in Europe.

Aside from that Pjanic suits this team far better than Pogba suits a Mourinho team.

Pogba can do more things on the field than Pjanic.

But it is possible that Pjanic could be better at the things we need him to do. And our team could be better for it.

For example, Higuain's first goal where Pjanic played a one touch ball in our half when he could have easily played backwards or stepped on it and dribbled. He's very good in transitioning the play.

Seriously. On what pogba is really good?.

At least we can say that pjanic is really good I what he does which is assists and free kicks.

But in what pogba really excel?. His decition making is dubious as an AM and as a holding mid he feels like wasted.

Im really curious to see how his adventure in ManU will continue. Right now it seems the fans have started the parade against him.

Lol, mourninho will have to do his homework. And fast.

Jeez. A very talented possibly even world class player left us. But through smart buys our team is stronger than last year. No need to say more.

Hmm.. I'd still take Pogba over Pjanic any day of the week. People have been criticising him (and rightly so), but Pogba at his best is an absolute monster.
We are talking about pure offensive output.

We both know, Pogba is much more than that......Well.. at juventus at least, the only team that ever figured out how to unleash his inner beastmode.

So you are a Juve fan who watched him play for us for 4 years, and you ask what he is good at?

    this

hes also been screaming for months that we should play him as AM (which we luckily didnt do) and now he questions whether his decision making is good enough to be one. our fans memories get shorter with each star that leaves us
