I can't believe some folks around here. You cannot be that dumb ffs. Unreal. Pjanic' arrival doesn't mean that Pogba is on his way out. Ridiculous. We need to bring in at least another quality midfielder besides Pjanić.
We'll see about that in a couple of months time, but I still believe we'll lose a significant Midfielder.

Add the fact that we closed that deal pretty fast adds to my suspicion .

we always close deals fast. morata, khedira, dybala, tevez,..etc were signed very, very fast

the only one that dragged on was draxler.

Anyone else think that signing him means Pogba is definitely out ?
Marchisio will be out for a while and could be back broken. Khedira is injured half the time. As a matter of fact Pogba is the only real quality midfielder that plays regularly. At the start of the season, as well as at the end in the Coppa, we suffered tremendously exactly because we were missing both Khedira and Marchisio.
The way I see it, Pjanic is a necessity, not a luxury. We have too many midfielders that we don't need and we will collect a chunk of Pjanic's transfer money from sales (Pereyra, Hernanes, Asamoah)

Another 20+ million euro midfielder and we can start worrying.

:agree: The acquisition of pjanic does not mean that Pogba is going. However, it does not mean that Pogba is going to stay either. If he does go, it wont be because of Pjanic. I'll feel a lot better about Pogba's sale if pjanic is already a Juve player than if he is not. Anyway you look at it, this deal is great.

You dont think we would have captured Khedira even if Vidal was still here? I think we would have definitely went for him.

I just think we should never outrule a transfer for whatever footballing reasons. A sale can always happen and incase of Pogba it might happen this summer

Why even stress over pogba?? If he leaves that's 100m to play with. Marotta with 100m to play with is frightening if you aren't a juve fan.
True.

Really hope Pogba stays, but ... imagine if we could get a ton of money + Kroos for him. That deal is no joke, and I'm not even sure we would be weakened. Sure, Pogba is phenomenal and he's a much more marketable player than the german. But Kroos, god damn, he's the ultimate midfielder in my opinion. So elegant. Works hard, fights for the ball and has a tremendous passing ability (one of the best in the game).

Here's hoping Pogba stays, but I must say I am rather intrigued with the megacash + Kroos offer that's being reported. Could we ever get a better deal for Pogba?

Pogba is basically a billion dollar note that can be bought with 120 mil.

Yeah and I do want him here. But if a scenario arises where both the player and Raiola forces our hand, then practicality kicks in. Not what's ideal and not what he would be worth long term etc. A deal would then have to happen right here and now. I'd hate to see this go down, but if it does then we must ask ourselves how to make the most of the situation.

I'd rather take a deal that involves a world class player that could slot directly into his place + cash, than just money.

Ideally Juve would want to keep Pogba, no doubt about it, so if a deal will be made this summer it will be because we simply cannot keep him. Hopefully we can.

according to some rather old news, pogba got plenty of time from marotta to think about his future. paul had to decide whether he stays or asks to leave before the start of the euros. beppe spoke with pogba before the tournament started, and some sources confirmed that pogba confirmed he was happy to remain here. we'll read a couple of 'news' every other day, but i guess this will be the last credible information until pogba is busy with the nt.

I agree. Signing Pjanic doesn't mean Pogba is leaving. If we go out and drop €40m+ on someone like Gomes, then sure, I can most likely see us selling Pogba. But people need to remember we are going to be missing Marchisio for a large chunk of next season and Khedira is very injury prone...so Pjanic is a need not a want.

With the new squad rules, it actually forces us to get rid of deadwood like Hernanes, Padoin and Pereyra now. We'll look to sell them before even considering offers for Pogba.

Hernanes, Pereyra, Asamoah, Sturaro, Khedira we can lose anyone of them. They are also significant midfielders.

Whatever thing we do...we will not sell pogba. Even if we buy Gomez Gotzze and Kovacic.

Because theres no point in aiming to win the CL but sell Pogba... that just doesnt compute.

If it os up to us..he will go nowhere. And Pogba knows he has unfinished business here it seems

for one, I even think pjanic deal would motivate pogba because the team is stronger than ever or at least as strong as 14/15. thats actually the opposite of pogba being sold :D
