tap-in goal doesn't change the fact that he has been playing poorly throughout the season
He has 3 goals - 2 assists on the season already. Would be 4 goals if the Inter one was properly counted.

He's had bloody awful games, but he's also had some pretty good ones. But we knew consistency would be his issue, right?

He disappointed me in a different way. Expected him to be inconsistent in terms of missing passes or making wrong plays. But often in the season he has been invisible, trying to avoid the ball and not offering himself for his teammates to pass to

This is what I had noticed at Roma. He went super invisible mode at times and seemed to totally space out of entire games. Hoping Juventus can work this out of him over the next few months.

He hardly ever makes you feel like he influences a game - that includes all games this season so far.

He destroyed Dinamo Zagreb in the first half before going off with a knock.

Also played a fantastic game against Sassuolo. And was quite good today. Scored, assisted, had that amazing long ball to Higuain that should have been buried... Put a number of accurate long balls and crosses. Was very involved.

However, he was terrible, completely invisible against both Inter and Lyon. Worst matches of the season for him.

Other games he has been so-so.

I think people.confuse.soft.with bad. He's playing in a good level but we know he could do a lot better but he was never a B2B and our Team was used to play with at least one so... We'll see

and then you realize a "chance created" could literally be a 3 meter pass which led to a shot from the halfway line.......

Though I dont think hes been horrible just not fully assimilating yet
Obviously not every "chance created" is equal, but the higher the numbers there, the better. As we saw today, with his fantastic corners, his fantastic crosses, his fantastic long balls like the one Higuain should have buried.

Even against AC Milan in a relatively mediocre game from him, he created a couple excellent chances, the fantastic through ball to Sandro, who screwed up the pull-back for Higuain and instead pulled it back to no one, and so on.

The only two really horrible games Pjanic has played were Inter and Lyon.

Conversely he played excellent matches against Sassuolo, Zagreb, and today against Sampdoria.

The other matches were somewhere in between.

He needs to consistently play at his top level and do it against our tougher opponents. Marchisio should help with that, as should gaining better understanding of his teammates (aside from Higuain, as the two of them seem to have chemistry, while neither of them has any chemistry at all with the rest of the team yet).

What I liked yesterday is that with Marchisio return we now have two players who can make those smart simple passes forward rather than passing backwards. It will really help in our build up play. Other than that he still sucks. He has numbers but I can't say I was impressed by his performances so far.
