It doesn't matter If his last goal was vs man or qpr. My point is that he is inconsistent. He was very bad in chl. Fact that he's been benched by Mario tells a lot. Mario is a great player though, he is way ahead of Dzeko even though he is so arrogant, get red cards etc, picks fights in trainings and yet coach chooses him ahead of Dzeko.

The fact that Mario is still picked above him shows how stupidly talented he is, despite the constant chaos that surrounds him. Mario can become a lot bigger than Dzeko ever can if he wanted, I don't doubt that.

I've seen enough of Dzeko at Wolfsburg and City to know that he's actually a fine forward, but with talents like Agüero and Balotelli in the team he's struggling to find himself as a starter. The rough few months he had at the beginning of his time in England can be attributed to a lot of things like adapting or whatever, easy example is that Nedved also adjusted.

Regarding consistency of scoring, it doesn't help that he's not getting consistent starting spots in the team every week like he was towards the beginning of the season. Since his last goal against QPR in the league he's started 1 game, come off the bench in 4 (from beyond the 80th minute) and not featured in the other 2.

Mancini's rotation policy has a lot to do with it. He doesnt consistently start and that affects his production. He scores 4 goals and next game he is on the bench due to the rotation.
