Del Neri: 'Juve Krasic-dependent'

Gigi Del Neri admits Juventus have only one player firing on all cylinders. “We are Milos Krasic-dependent. I want a quality reaction against Cagliari.”
The Bianconeri took a huge step back on Thursday night with their 3-1 home defeat to Palermo and need to get back on track.
“We mustn’t let ourselves get downbeat after a defeat, as one single result cannot determine the absolute worth of the team.
“The next few games will be important from a psychological perspective. The 4-0 win in Udine and the defeat to Palermo prove this Juve has peaks and troughs, but we’re got character.
“On Thursday the side showed it could play well both in first and second half, so tomorrow I expect a quality and hungry reaction against Cagliari.”
Del Neri was asked if Juve were too dependent on Alessandro Del Piero, but the Coach surprisingly ignored his captain for a summer signing.
“I wouldn’t say that. If anything, we are Krasic-dependent. At the moment the Serb is the player who gives us something extra.
“The captain is doing his work; we have to see how he is physically, as obviously in terms of technique he is beyond dispute.”
Alberto Aquilani will again have to wait for his first start in the Bianconeri jersey.
“Aquilani? For now Claudio Marchisio and Felipe Melo give me strong guarantees in midfield,” insisted Del Neri.
“I think the 4-4-2 is the right system to get the best out of Krasic and other players. In future it could be an idea to use Amauri with Krasic, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Del Piero behind him, but you need a compact defence and for everyone to track back.
“We need to find the right balance. I am not worried because we always concede with our defence in position, as it would be worse if we were caught on the counter.
“Admittedly, we are lacking a little aggression and concentration in certain moments.”
