If they get Melo he's obviously going to get rid of someone.
my point, fish, is that wenger seems to have better players, more right in the head, than melo. I saw a glimpse of that frimpong lad a week or so back, and he looked quality. Admittedly it was in a friendly, and even Amauri can look great in friendlies...welll maybe not, with amauri its more like 'looks wicked in training'...anyway, I just find it hard to believe that Wenger values melo highly enough to lose his established, decent left back, when he has better options in place for melo's position already.

I would be very happy though, if the swap happened. It just doesn't make much sense to me presently, from Wenger's perspective.

also...wicked news about krasic. And I assume that wolfsburg were either asking way too much or meant it when they said a few days back that dzeko is not for sale this summer.

Those aren't all better options, Melo would be a good addition to Arsenal.

He is underrated around here for obvious reasons but the only reason the board is considering swapping him with Clichy is the possibilty that he will have another nightmare season.

And the fact that we have too many midfielders and virtually no left backs.

Report: Krasic set to join Juve Wednesday 28 July, 2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are reports in Russia that CSKA Moscow winger Milos Krasic will join Juventus by the end of the week.

Juventus held a round of talks with CSKA last month, but couldn’t agree a fee amid competition from Manchester City and Fenerbahce.

CSKA had hoped to start an auction, but Krasic’s desire to move to Turin has turned other bidders off him.

Soviet Sport understands CSKA have now accepted an offer from Juventus, which is said to be worth between €15m and €17m.

Krasic isn’t now expected to feature in the Moscow derby against Spartak on Sunday.

If Juventus sign Krasic, the Serbia international midfielder will take up the one and only non-EU place in their squad for this coming season.

However, he will fill a much-needed hole in Juventus’ squad, making a new left-back the only outstanding requirement on Gigi Del Neri’s wish list.

We shouldn't buy Pepe, could have use Lanza and Gio as covers and only spend on Martinez and Krasic. Even if we're losing Gio we could have went for Ben Arfa or Drenthe as cheap cover rather than paying 10mil for Pepe.
You do know we didn`t pay 10M for Pepe right?!
If I remember correctly he is on loan with us with an option to buy next summer for 10M
The fee we paid for his loan was 1M if I remember correctly
so 1M for Pepe isn`t that bad

Pepe is worth 10 mil, at least hes sweating to win every ball comes on his way and trying his best to help the team to score. his work rate is impressive and its what we lacked in the last season, the only time they really try hard to win was against merda and they managed to get result.

its encouraging to have players like Pepe who can work hard for you, when hes fighting for the ball ull abviously help him because you wont stand and wait because ull look stupid waiting and watch him run and del neri will ask every one to fight like him IMO...

He would be priceless if our players can be inspired as well.

Indeed, hardworking and high work rate players like Conte, Di Livio, Torricelli, Nedved, Davids, Del Piero are the key ingredients to our success back in 90's. (not so sure before that cause I was too young). The signing of Pepe actually reminds me of players like Di Livio or Torricelli, mediocre technique, but their tireless running and the attitude was so impressive.

Pepe's a good player. Not great but good. If anything we should've saved the money we spent on Martinez.

so any development news about Krasic?
Mark?Juventino?Anyone?
Don't want to step on any toes here but i'm kinda new on these forums so i'm interested in knowing if these so called "gurus" that you worship actually ever provided any correct information before it was made available for the public. Because during the time i've been here they have got at least 10 things wrong and none right. Again no insult intended, just a honest question to understand what's going on here.

I don't think any of them actually consider themselves "gurus", except Badass Devil.

Mark,Dooz and CAPITANO for example merely translate the news of vecchiasignora.com and other sources.

Not VS but yeah.

I don't have any inside info lol, because some people were even mentioning that. I read and give my opinions rather than sticking by what some so-called-guru tells will happen. Because that is all load of rubbish and their guess is as good as mine. After 30 transfer they do guess, and tell, "heck, I knew it all along". Well fuck that.

The only "guru" I somehow believe at VS is ACB.

TBH I think I've visited VS like 3-4 times to read something. I try to find it on my own but if I have to hit Italian forum I always pick j1897 but dunno really why...I guess I don't really like the atmosphere they make at VS.
