To be able to to score about 10 goals a season and make 20 assists almost every season makes him a top class player.
He's a great winger and have a pretty consistent delivery and easily one of the best wingers in the world.
he scored 11, 9, 4, 7 goals at bayern, who play in a highscoring league

the 20 assists is bs, he'll be just over 10

and he allways fails in the big games.

the reason he is considered good, is because the lack of world class left wingers

2008: 20 goals 19 assist
2009: 14 goals 21 assist
2010: 7 goals 11 assists
2011: 11 goals 21 assists

He's a great winger, with amazing touch and pace and ability to deliver a deadly final ball. A very creative player, he can also play as an attacking midfielder.
I followed him since his Marseille days, and he is a great player. Hate him as a person, hell of a cunt, but as a footballer nobody can deny his brilliance.
There was a time where he got overrated, but that doesn't change the fact that he is a great player.

doesnt change anything about the fact he fails in the big games, and bayern continue's to do bad

oh and wel...german competition..average goal per game beeing like 4 times what its here...fantastic defences, below the top4...

Ribery is amazing, can't believe one can think otherwise, though truth be told he has always been injury prone, and that significantly reduces his attractiveness, a fit and on form Ribery is one of the best wingers in the world though.

why is this amazing ribery in transfer rumours to a club thats doing significantly less good then his,can offer half his wage, and isnt in the CL ?

If i believe what you two said, then he would be a key player at bayern, and not leaving anytime soon.

but he isnt, is he

Why, because he overrates ribery to the degree holland tends to overrate their players or world cup chances ?
I wouldn't say reaching the final and narrowly losing to Spain is the kind of outcome you could consider as shitty, when it really is more than the majority of people here had dreamt of.

Also, you just said Robben is the 'real star' and you can't really argue we do have some quality players.

And finally, Fred really does tend to know what he's talking about, and he is most certainly right in this case aswell.

Was there anything else you wanted?

You are aware of where they finished in 2010?
Every singly analyst knew it was their worst selection in years, yet they somehow got into the finals yes. much due to an excellent sneijder offcourse.

But the fact they got there was mostly other teams seriously failling to perform, and spain having a significantly more difficult route towards the final.

Oh and melo, lets not forget melo

Ah, so Robben is the real star, Sneijder is excellent.

We really do overrate our own players, as they are shit, aren't they? Oh wait.

Oh i even supported them, just because i wanted sneijder to win everything, and because robben was showing who's the best winger at bayern.

but beeing dutch, you should agree on the confusion the analysts had because this "lesser" team, was actually doing better then the fantastic 1998-2004 sides

for me WC2010 was a big dissapointment for many teams, the weakest brazil in long time, the worst coach for argentina, italy beeing humiliated, france underperforming

hence, only germany and spain impressed

Generally yes, but robben and sneijder were the best players of the world on their position that year.

I considered robben to offer more then messi did

and that sneijder didnt got golden ball and everything is just a fucking disgrace. fucking messi fanboyism

He is a key player in Bayern. When fit, he is a regular starter, and when on form he is one of their best players. There is no way they would be willing to let him go, unless its because of his injuries, and like i said before, ever since his Marseille days, he's been injury prone.

I believe this discussion is over, as it involves a French player... Fred has spoken.

Robben, Sneider, Van Persie, De Jong, Elia, Van der Vaart. Need i say more?

They won all their qualifying games in route to 2010, they got 9 points in the first round, they beat Brazil in route to the final, and they only lost narrowly in extra time to a world class Spanish team. What are you talking about? The Dutch team has been world class for a few years now.

van der vaart is overrated
elia is overrated on juventus and a bench player
De jong had some excellent tackles against spain, but he's not a star
and i hate van persie

holland had an easy group, faced the worst brazil in history, should thank melo, and with a strickt referree should have been down to 8 players after 45 mins

not that i want that last one to be the case, i enjoyed some good harsh tackeling on fucking spain
