This. Napoli will crash and burn next season. They simply dont have the depth to compete in Serie A and the UCL. I expect a 8-10th place finish for them

I don't think they will drop that far down but competing in Serie A, CL, and Coppa won't be easy for them. Their defense won't withstand it and I don't see them bringing in any "champions" and the same for Udinese if they are selling theirs this summer. IMO, if we strengthen our team with just a couple of great players with whom we have already signed then our only nemesis for CL next year would be Roma...I don't think we will have what it takes to beat Milan or Inter but 3rd shouldn't be that tough. We won't be tired for multiple competitions we will just be able to focus on the league.

Add to that Cavani...if he cools down then they are screwed. If he gets injured they are screwed. He is the only reason why they did as well as they did this year IMO.

Pazienza is just a backup...cheap way to get depth. The kind of player that comes in for a starting mid once we have the game won because we need the starter fresh for the next game.

If you are in front, and wanting to finish the game, you need a player with a bit expirience that knows how to handle it

Agreed, Pazienza is a cheap back up with experience in Serie A. Something we will need. Obviously Bastos is no Di Maria, Nani etc. but given the fact we only have Serie A to worry about I think Bastos will be plenty good to play against Milan, Inter, Roma. Krasic so no WC winger either but given the opportunity you all saw he can be effective so with that threat of Bastos on the other side I think they will complement eachother very well. with Pirlo, Melo/ Aquilani or Inler in the middle they have more then capable players to give them those balls they need down the wings. Some people think our full backs should be out main target but if Beck does sign again I think beck and Ziegler are more then capable to handle the best of what Serie A have at them moment. So as Bianconero81 stated, I think we should spend most (not all) of our transfer fund on a WC SS. Yes it sucks we arnt in champions but I think it gives us the opportunity to hopefully get Conte alot of good and successful experience without the Pressures of CL and hopefully build alot better base for 2013. Makes sense in my head anyway lol.
