Juve needs left winger and he just blows Pepe out of the field when it comes to LW position. I'd like to see Krasic Bastos winger combination. And the price is totally cool, he's worth of it and from what I read he'd like to come to play for Juve.

If Bastos is the definition of a 'top player' in Marotta's eyes, we could well be in for a disappointing summer, but let's be honest here... He's a capable LW, not a Pepe. We've played so many games where our left wing just went completely missing, or with a winger who constantly loses possession and doesn't create a thing. A good LW will change things attacking wise for us, even if he's not Bale or Ribéry. He could be really good for us.

Ok, I tried to make things look more positive than they seem as much as I could. If that's not enough for you guys, you're on your own. :D

Defenitely overly optimistic rundown Ken doll :p Bastos is a decent player, but he's a solid player who can add to a good team, not help elevate an average team to a good team. Thats what he should do as a main offensive signing, as he would be for us, and he isnt simply that kind of player. So yes, it will be bit of a dissapointing signing.

Hey, I was merely trying to put a smile on some people's faces, as they seem to suffer from a close-to-suicide depression. :D

But,

@ Nedved

Guys, we need Bastos. Not because he's great, but because we will get if not him, then some shit Italian player. WE know that, and Brazil International is anyway better than Italian non-internation(or international :D)

Well.. We could play him at LB in a 4-3-3 with Neymar/Hazard/Vuccinic kind of players attacking on the left as they arent proper left wingers.. Marchisio at left center mid can help with the defensive duties and bastos can add to the attack from the left side.. having said this I certainly wouldnt expect him to be the quality signing. but he's an upgrade to what we have on the left now..

I don't get why people think of him as garbage, I haven't seen him play too much true, but getting into the Brazil national team is not an easy thing. He has a great shot, is really fast and is skilled, perhaps not as much as Hazard but I still would love to have him in Juve, especially after having Pepe all season. Besides, it's not like we are getting Ribery, we don't spend $45m+ plus for players.

Haven't watched the guy when he was with Lille, but watched plenty of games for him with Lyon this season + last and he's IMO nothing special.

good player (better than pepe for sure) but not great plus he's inconsistent as hell from what i've seen.

Not to mention the fact that he'll be 28 next summer. So all that crap talk from Marotta last season of creating a young team :giovanotti: can be thrown out of the window with this signing (plus getting the likes of Toni, martinez ....).
