You can be a Muslim if you believe that there is one God that is Allah and that the Prophet Muhammad is his messenger. Whether you really believe that or not is between you and God, we(human beings) can never know if you really are a muslim or not.

As for how many wives you can have :p, its a much debated topic, and one that i do not feel i am fit to answer. I can point you to some sites, if you really are interested though. Provided the right circumstances you can have up to four, though it is debatable as to what those circumstances are.

Kinda ironic, back in the middle ages, it was the Muslims that were known for their hygiene and it was the Europeans(Christians) that were known for their filth :p

(At least according to my History professor:oops:)

He is right.

I think that it holds water even today. It usually goes down to the individual today, but in an equally educated and equally rich Muslim or non-Muslim family, I'd put my money on the Muslim family being more clean.
