How about swapping him with Simao? He is the only Benfica player (of the few I've seen) that really impress me. Is he untouchable?
Multiple posts. =/

Anyways, Simao isn't untouchable but he is loyal and Miccoli for Simao would be a horrible deal for Benfica, Juventus would have to give up some cash Miccoli wouldn't be enough he is a terrific player now HE shows leadership, but he's a fan favourite, you guys can go for Nelson, he might not be consistent but he's a great player if you're looking for a RB who can attack (which I think Birendelli does very well) go for Nelson unless you want to spend a bit more money for Miguel. We'll see what happens I can't wait.

Simão would stay with Benfica not out of loyalty, IMO, but out of his own whining about wanting to be team captain.
Correct, but not fully. Benfica accepted the 12mil offered by Valencia, Simao rejected, saying 12 mil simply wasn't going to get Benfica a good replacement he is a very loyal player and I know what I say but of course you are entitled to your own opinion. Very well. :)

To stay on topic, Miccoli is a great player for Benfica but he gets injured too often.
Luisao is a good defender wouldn't help Juventus out too much, he's a player for the Brazilian league, he's helped out Benfica a lot but has also caused many problems.

But you're right, an obvious reason forcing him to stay year after year is the captain band he wears, but he leads the team, he forces them to do better.

I've realized you're Portuguese swag in some way? You seem to like a few Portuguese players. :p

That too, and if you really want to know, Abola Newspaper :p. He is a cry baby, so is Ronaldo, what's your point? MY point is he get's the job done well he scored the goal for Portugal against Brazil and he helps out Benfica more than anyone else does on the team. If Juventus needs a left-winger for cheap (16 mil?) Simao wouldn't be a bad signing. Simao also stated he wants to leave Benfica but doesn't want to leave Benfica in a tough situation.

You must not like Benfica, it's ok.

now there u start making some points! but i never gave any kind of support to cry babies whoever they are.. or did i? i simply don't want them at my club and as u admitted simao is one hell of a whinner so no thanks :D i never questioned his skills.. he's one hell of a player!! he got benfica far in the CL last year and he's definetely their best player and for that matter one of portugal's best! i respect that.. what i just don't like are small cocky pricks like him and i've met him personally a couple of times i know what i'm talking about :smoke:

on another note, if one doesn't rate a player does it mean one doesn't like the team he's playing for?

Sorta. By marriage. My wife is Portuguese. I have still yet to work that relationship through the consulate to apply for Portuguese citizenship.

It rocked to finally see both Quaresma and C Ron out on the wings on the NT at the same time a couple weeks back. That's soon going to be the world's most lethal pair of wingers. But I was probably even happier seeing Jorge Andrade start again...

Haha, I've never met him I guess you caught him at the wrong time (another Benfica loss:p) But hey I don't want him at Juventus I was just saying if they wanted a cheap winger he's there, I don't like Simao i'd rather have Nuno Gomes playing Center Def (That's a joke, he shouldn't be playing at all.)

And no when I said you must hate Benfica, I was joking. :)

Anyways..

Aah so you are "somewhat" Portuguese :) That's good and yes I saw the Portugal v. Brazil game aah what a game, I'd usually be pissed seeing my idol go off (C. Ronaldo, people say I look like him) but I had this gut feeling Simao would score, and Ronaldo and Quaresma were like twins on that field.

Hope you're right when you say they are gonna be a lethal pair of wingers, and I was glad to see Andrade back as well.. (Is it me or did he look a bit fatter :D)?

Juventus have targeted Benfica defender Luisao and might make a move for the player in the summer.
The Bianconeri are strengthening their side in preparation for their expected return to Serie A and the Brazilian has impressed so far with his performances for the Portuguese giants.
According to the latest reports, the Old Lady might use on-loan striker Fabrizio Miccoli to convince Benfica to let the 26-year-old join the Turin club in exchange.
Miccoli is in his second season in Portugal and the Bianconeri are allegedly willing to let him move permanently, although Luisao insists that he has not been in direct contact with Juventus.
“For the moment I have not spoken with any representatives from Juventus,” confirmed the player.
Knowing that I am targeted by a club like Juve fills me with pride. For the moment I am concentrating on Benfica, even if the idea of an Italian experience fascinates me,” added the defender.
The South American has won over 20 caps for the Seleçao since making his debut in the summer of 2001 and was part of Brazil’s 2006 World Cup squad.

Cris or Alex from PSV. :agree:
    yep
Alex would be available for cheap(not more than 5m)
Alex will be 25 this summer
Cris will be 30 years old this summer

Alex is currently ON LOAN at psv(he's actually owned by chelsea, n psv have already expressed their interest in signing him since they have an option to buy him)

Juventus instead of going for Luisao they could go for Pepe on Porto he's pretty good, Porto was interested in Miccoli last summer (2006) they might accept the Miccoli - Pepe switch although Porto fans would be pretty pissed. :agree: :p
