Liverpool were in CL because they WON the CL.

I can't believe I'm replying to this, its so impossible beyond any hope.

Reports in the Italian Press claim that Fabrizio Miccoli could be close to joining Palermo in a £3.5m deal.

The 27-year-old was expected to be recalled to Juventus following his two-year loan spell at Benfica after new Coach Claudio Ranieri stated that he was counting on the ‘Romario del Salento’.

The former Italian international was initially mentioned as part of an exchange deal for Andrea Barzagli, but the latest rumours suggest that £3.5m will be enough to see Miccoli join the Rosanero.

The versatile forward joined Juve in 2003, but his relationship with the giants turned sour after Fabio Capello’s arrival on the bench a year later.

He then moved to Fiorentina in 2004 on loan, where he scored 12 Serie A goals before switching to Portugal in 2005.

Miccoli was also a reported target for Napoli, but talks between Palermo sporting director Rino Foschi and the player’s agent on Thursday seem to confirm that the Isolani are the striker’s next destination.

In the meantime, Juve defender Igor Tudor has signed a two-year contract with his former club Hajduk Split.

The Croatian missed the whole of last season with an ankle problem and the club had tried to rescind his deal last February, taking advantage of a release clause in his contract.

The international, a one-time Manchester United target, was contracted to the Old Lady until June 30 and agreed to a £128,000-a-year wage for his second spell at Hajduk.

Miccoli Very Close To Palermo

The Juventus forward could become a Rosanero player within the next few hours according to the latest transfer speculation coming from Italy.

Fabrizio Miccoli is very close to a move to Palermo as Juventus are trying to find a new destination for the forward who spent his last two seasons in Portugal with Benfica.

According to the latest reports, President Zamparini will pay the Old Lady 5 million Euros for the small but technical forward who has done extremely well with Benfica in the past two years.

Palermo are set to lose David Di Michele who is heading towards Parma and therefore require a new forward upfront. Miccoli is seen as the ideal candidate to help the Rosanero maintain their top position status in Serie A.

In the meantime, the Sicilian side is also concluding the negotiation for the Lazio player, Pasquale Foggia as was confirmed by Zamparini to 'Radioradio'.

"After Jankovic I will also sign Miccoli and Foggia, and I will build a Palermo side stronger than last year," declared confidently the volcanic President.
