Havent heard a metal band i liked thats came out in the last 15 years or so. Sadly the newest metal bands i liked came from the Nu metal era. Any that came after that have not caught my attention i still just listen to everything up until the end of the 90s..

Check or Opeth's album "Ghost Reveries". It's a right album that gets better with every listen.

the only thing I think is their guitar tone has probably gotten worse progressively, though the last was pretty good for that. The guitar tone on Remission is insane, so raw.
