we bought demiral for 18m, selling him for 40m would mean 22m of plusvalenza. rugani's book value was 1.4m last summer. any club would pay 23-24m for him.
i'd keep demiral. we'll need him in a year, and this quality isn't easy to find on today's market. rugani can be replaced by someone like romagna anytime.

I was hoping that our retarded youth/younger player loan policies would end, yes. I had hoped for that.

As it stands now, I'd say our mercato is 9/10 (with Demiral here). He goes to Milan, that gets cut down to 5/10. Disgusting planning.

Later stages in the CL when 3/4 of the season is done and players are tired...Chiellini will be reinjured, players will be on Suspension from cards, etc...we will be stuck with a 19 (soon to be 20) year old MDL and Rugani or worse last seasons bonucci to get us through. Then something will happen and our emergency "Can" will slot in and fuck up pissing everyone off.

I'm less worried about attack than I am about defense.
I was screaming at the end of last season that our defense was priority over our midfield and it looked like a masterpiece from Paratici this summer but he is sinking his own ship.

Signing a player, handing him the jersey, shooting promo vids and pics for social media, just to then sell him right away. I hope the next one we pull this move with is gonna opt to sit out his 4-5 years here.

What if all 3 of MDS, Sandro, Cancelo/his replacement are injured and suspended at the same time, wouldnt both of our fullback positions be fucked? What if Berna, Costa and Ronaldo are injured at the same time, wouldnt our wide options for front 3 be fucked as well?
You can't have a 35 player squad for all possible injuries and suspensions, we dont need more than 4 CBs unless one of them gets a serious long term injury, question is whether Sarri trusts Demiral more than Bonucci and Rugani.
