I guess you hate Chelsea :cheesy:

By the time the next round rolls around we shall have an ample supply of "stock" at our disposal for whomever we play...Mourinho needs to come down to earth and sooner or later he will have to face an Italian team...lets hope we face him. :boxing:
I hope you teach Mourinho a lesson in class.

Whats your theory?
Here you go.

I would have to give the advantage to Milan for these reasons:

Milan is very much like Barcelona in terms of controlling the match. With players like Pirlo, Seedorf, and Kaka, they can have much of the posession and control the match, sort of like Barca, minus all the players caught up in attack. I know Chelsea does not need that much posession to excel, however there's more.

The difference between Barca and Milan is that the latter is never exposed at the back and usually has players behind the ball. Barca does not have a stacked defense, as Puyol, Oleguer, and Belletti do not match up with Nesta, Stam, and Cafu. The individual talent of Milan's defense is far superior to Barca. Milan is also more organized than the Catalans as well.

Now, since Milan is rarely caught out at the back Chelsea will have a tougher time striking on the counter attack, something the latter does very well. Chelsea's first three goals against Barca were all on the counter-attack, some of which was due to errors by Barca defenders. Milan will not be as loose at the back as Barca, so Chelsea will have a difficult time scoring IMO.

Milan can hold posession and have the players to make you pay, especially when Shevchenko comes back into the fold. I just do not think Chelsea will have an easy time scoring against Milan, and if the latter sits back like they do on the one-goal lead Chelsea will be in trouble. The latter's attack is no better than Man United's for that matter, however Milan is strong in all positions and know how to control a match.

Chelseas attack is much better than MU.

And the defensive game is risky. Corners can be dangerous when your playing chelsea ;)
I do not really think Chelsea's attack is better than Manure, it's just that Les Bleus are more proned to the counter. Remember, Barcelona played right into Chelsea's game, leaving copius amounts of room at the back for Duff and Goodie to take advantage of. Milan simply does not let that happen.

I think Milan would destroy Chelsea. Not destroy them like winning 10-0, but they would destroy them by not letting them score because their defense is too good

Hmm that brings up a question.

I think that corner Terry scored on is a set play, and an illegal set play at that. Chelsea have scored on that exact play at least four times if my memory serves me right, and there is always a player behind the keeper, thus obstructing his backward movement. In the Barca match Valdes could not move back in time because of Carvalho. Mourinho is a smart man because that play is rarely caught, however it is illegal.

Indeed in that game. But Chelsea have more than one game plan buddy.
Mourinho says he likes to have a lot os posession, but he hardly had a lot against Barca. Same thing would happen against Milan.

Milan V Chelsea would be as intriguing as Juve V Chelsea.

But i'd like an easier quarter final after beating Madrid. It gives us good confidence, having said that i think we can easily be undone by a Lyon, or maybe a PSV because we may not consider them to be on that level. And these teams cherish the underdog tag.

Juventus v Liverpool will be a good matchup as well. There again, a Spanish connection....

Chelsea vs. Juve would be wierd considering both play a more counter attacking type football.

But then again, I think u guys forget that the reason chelsea played so defensively against barca is that, well, they're against barca, barca has probably the best offense in the world right now. And Chelsea were without Robben, who is really chelsea's feet while Drogba is Chelsea's Head. Without Robben chelsea are one class lower.

    1-PSV
    2-Liverpool
    3-Bayern
    4-Lyon
    5-Inter
    6-Chelsea
    7-Milan

I wouldn't want to face Lyon, 'cause they're the black beast of the league. But in the end they should be easier to defeat than Inter Chelsea or Milan.

PSV and Lyon should be in our reach, and we already proved we are superior to bayern this season
