don't think there will be any real trouble in the 2nd leg , cause all Juve fans won't have the apetite to do anything wrong seeing their team advance for the semis . . .

forza Juve !!

Sadly some fans reacted like that. I see that some Liverpool fans are using that picture as grounds for badmouthing all Juve fans, that's also sad. If the tables were turned I'm sure there could easily be taken a similar photo of 'Pool fans.

If there will trouble in Torino I don't really know. Let's hope for the best on and off the field.

it is maybe dissappointing and sad, but to be honest i think that maybe persons who were bzw. are affected by the heysel tragedy don't give a penny on this banner as the pain is to strong.

But if you look at the photo, you can make the argument that many of these pain-ridden fans were in diapers when it happened.

And many of the people who were displaying Liverpool friendship banners probably had nothing to do with the people that caused the tragedy. All these Juve fans are doing are aggrevating the people who probably feel very bad about what happened -- and perhaps most wish they could have been there to help prevent it. You can bet that the most guilty parties in Liverpool 20 years ago are unlikely to be the first to be rolling out friendship banners yesterday.

This is a bit like blaming a 18-year-old German kid today for the crimes of the Holocaust -- even worse, when his ancestors may have been part of the suppressed and oppressed Germans who opposed the Nazis in the first place.

I may be a die-hard juventino, but we need to shame our own kind when they pull stunts like this. It's not good for anyone.

Maybe some of those Juve fans on Anfield stands that were "saluting" banner have lost someone in that tragedy and they don't give a f**k about those banners because the only thing that this banner bring is bad memory

Man, I'm getting sick and tired of seeing Pool fans post this shit here and at Xtratime

Get it through your thick heads, that was a small group of fools who acted that way. That doesnt represent the MAJORITY of Juve fans at the stadium, who were very respectful

"In Memory & Friendship"

It was absolutely disgraceful how a section of Juventus fans turned their backs to the ceremony which was intended to promote peace and friendship between the two clubs.

What makes those Juventus fans who turn their backs during the ceremony any different from the hooligans (both Liverpool and Juventus fans) that caused the Heysel disaster?

My freinds, it's not only selfish to turn your backs, but its extremely childish. Of course the horrors of Heysel scar all football fans, but indeed their comes a time when we grow up and are able to surpass such extreme events and renew friendships.

To all Juventus fans who did treat the ceremony with respect, I would like to thank you for doing so.

The Match:
Juventus should really be ashamed of themselves.
Depleted squad 2 - 1 Liverpool
No Djibril Cisse, Xabi Alonso, Morientes, Pellegrino, Kirkland.

Juventus had Pessotto, Trezeguet and Montero come off the bench.

We had Smicer, Nunez.

But overall a great match.

Dont misread what I am saying. I am also caught up in the emotion of it all.

We were all at fault. Juventus started it, we finished it.

WE ARE ALL TO BLAME

But i just find it rude how backs were turned. Its just childish.

Don't be !

There is something call in america (free speech) so next days a new law will be in europe call (free fingers )

Just kidding :)

btw this pic took after the referee gave his last whistle not during the match or on the begining .. and while Liv's fans inflamed juve fans after the final whistle. juve's fans replied by fingers not to insulte them but to inform them that we need only 1 goal at delle alpi to qualify .. look at the fingers:)

APART FROM THE FACT JUVENTUS FANS STARTED IT BY THROWING MISSILES AT US!!!!!!!!!

APART FROM THE FACT JUVENTUS FANS HAD BANNERS THAT READ: REDS ANIMALS (before Heysel happened)

one thing i dont understand, why are you trying to bring up this tragic event that is shameful to both clubs by using "a couple" of people as an example. you have morons everywhere, and juve fans shouldnt make a difference.

and

oh my God they had banners you know what i think we should kill them. banners ? what are we going to do now ?

DUDE, JUST READ THIS. THE BELOW IS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW.

++ [ originally posted by Shadowfax ] ++

Some fans didnt accept it.. that is true and we all knew that would be the case... You also have to look at the other 2400 people that welcomed and thanked you for the gesture.. you also have to look to our reaction to our own 'fans'
Also look at the applause going between us in block 122 and the fans next to us at the end... not to mention the swapping of shirts and scarfs between us and your fans.

The other thing you wont have seen.. is that after you had all left whilst we were held back... Your boys came out for their warm down and came over to us and we applauded and cheered them as they applauded us.. even one of your lot (riise maybe) being cheeky enough to approach us wearing of all things our beloved captains shirt... was welcomed

This im afraid is a mixture of different cultures.. in italy fans cheer and applaud during a minutes silence... it was nothing more sinister than that
Sheesh, why does almost every fan believe what the media tells them or what they find on a ridiculous website?

Dude,

Dont bother. Save the shit, the only member here at the game was Shadowfax and he has already disapproved of it. This is irrelevent to this forum and you'll just be banned.

The small amount of Juve fans that did that, I saw the same amount of Liverpool fans be disgraceful that night.

Many scum humans live on this earth and many do worse things than turn there backs on something. They caused no trouble. Doing what they did is their choice and their freedom.
