Mourinho is magnificent! Allardyce is another brilliant coach.

well ive lost respect for mourinho since joining chelsea as he seems more dependant on money than he did at porto, and his style of play is similar, if not worst than capello's style.

allardyce' secret is doing a perugia and buying all these random multi culteral players and encourages them into team bonding activities, i was watching this mini documentary about their team and how its possible to have such a multicultural team to play together well

Oh excuse me! The squad that Mourinho inherited is basically his starting lineup.Cech,Terry,Lampard,Cole,Geremi & Cudicini we all there before Mourinho came.

Chelsea have never been shy on the financial front & Gullit,Vialli & Ranieri had the money to build a winning squad.Mourinho made the BIG difference in that team.As for chelsea playin the way crapello like it - Whatever! u think chimenti is a good.:lol2:

Allardyce is a good man manager & knows how to instill confidence in players & gives them the joy to play the game again. He is one of the most underrated coaches in the uk imo.

ye but dont u think its a little ironic that ranieri did most of the hard work as he layed the foundations of the new chelsea squad, as he bought cech, he trained terry and lampard up to a good standard, and bought makelele, robben and duff, wen u compare it to mourinho's transfers, with the likes of drogba and ferreira, who in fairness have been pretty poor overall mourinho was just lucky to have inherrited a good squad, and he has the money to just enhance it further.

as i said i rated him at porto, but at chelsea, even sersie cosmi cud win anything with the resources chelsea have.

Robben was brought in by Mourinho,so whats ur point about inheriting a squad?Crapello inherited a world class squad from Lippi & managed to make the team play the most boring & unattractive football ive seen in the last 2 seasons.

Tell me since Ranieri had that squad u mentioned how come chelsea always choked when the going got tough.Mourinho deserves a whole lot more respect than what he's gettin.

What are the pathetic purchaces that Mourinho did? If you don't like the guy, why would you call his signings pathetic?

not this kind of money

anyway abt the discussion i agree with Devil, i dont like mourinho and his attitude is just a disgrace imo. Fact is that the base of that squad(lampard, terry, cech) were brought in before he came in.Ferriera is not a good defender imo, he is a failure. He is just fast nothing else to offer but naiveness.

and abt comparing chelsea's playing style to some of capello's , well they have labeled chelsea as the most boring team in england with the style of boring team's to death. I think both mourinho and capello have similar characteristics when it comes to coaching. The difference imo is that cap in his roma days , roma were playing wonderful football.Different to mourinho who always used the same brand of defence minded strategy in both chelsea and porto.

Pizarro signs four-year deal with Roma

ROME (AFP) - Chilean midfielder David Pizarro finally agreed a four-year deal to leave Inter Milan and join Roma in a 6.5-million euro deal.

The 26-year-old had been unsure about the move, but was finally convinced to put pen to paper after spending just one season with Inter where he made 23 appearances, scoring one goal.

"It isn't easy leaving a club like Inter Milan, but the desire of the Roma owners, the coach and the staff helped me change my mind," said Pizarro.

"It was never a question of money."

Earlier Saturday, Inter coach Roberto Mancini, whose team are in Mallorca, Spain, taking part in the Pirelli trophy, gave the player permission to fly back to Italy to continue talks with Roma.

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has been pursuing Pizarro for several weeks.

Inter, who have an abundance of midfield players following the signings of French duo Patrick Vieira and Olivier Dacourt, were awarded last season's Serie A championship after Juventus were found guilty of match-fixing and stripped of their title.

An accurate passer who can be dangerous from set-pieces, Pizarro threatened to retire from international football after Chile failed to qualify for the 2006 World Cup.

Roma's defence is turning out to be a very strong one. Pizarro and Perrotto can combine well to form a good duo with De Rossi and Aquilani taking the flanks and the forward runs. I tip Roma to edge Inter in the Scudetto.

I do predict Milan to take the league but the last days of play will wittness a race between Roma and Milan where Inter will see themselves in third place wodering what went wrong.
