I added him earlier in the players linked with Juve thread but didn't feel that rumor needed more exposure. The one on Raggi was more important.
Is Pavone another hyped up South American that's 3 feet tall and will never make it in Europe? He's not the next Messi that's for sure.
i thought he was a goaler lol! cause i saw that Livorno were looking at a player for the after Amelia period and assumed they were talking about Pavone. lol. He is actually a striker

Mariano Pavone is an Argentine footballer. He was born on May 27, 1982, in the city of Tres Sargentos, Buenos Aires province.
A born striker, Pavone left his childhood club, Argentine great Boca Juniors, at the age of 14, and has since played his entire career so far for Estudiantes de La Plata in the Argentine Primera where he has scored 45 goals in 147 games. His most notable achievement so far was scoring 16 goals in the Clausura 2005, making him the top scorer.
Pavone was selected by Argentine sports dairy Ole as the best player in the 2006 Apertura tournament, where he scored Estudiantes's first goal (against Quilmes) and its last goal—which secured the 2-1 victory over Boca Juniors in the final match, and gave Estudiantes the title, the first of his career. All in all, Pavone scored 11 goals in this tournament, but also excelled at assisting his fellow strikers (such as the long dribble before Estudiantes's fifth goal against Gimnasia in the October 15 derby). He was also noted for his tactical discipline and focus.
As of December 2006, there are many speculations about Pavone's future. Estudiantes has hinted at a €12,000,000 price tag.
