You used to be more reasonable and less exaggerating/trolling with all due respect. I prefer Zaniolo too but it's not as bad as you make it sound.
I was joking around but I had a similar discussion with Daniel last night. Zaniolo’s ceiling is way higher imo. Depay ain’t that bad especially not for free. But we’re trying a two year contract while I was hoping to have Zaniolo and Chiesa on our wings for the next 10 years. The short term contract says something about how our board sees him.

In my opinion we should be afraid of missing out on Zaniolo. He has power combined with dribbling skills that would suit Allegri’s style way more. For me it feels so much like a open door that it almost feels silly to explain.

And let’s not forget, Depay comes from a good run at Barca and yet they don’t mind losing him for free. Ask yourself why that is. It’s probably because they realize that he won’t make them CL/La Liga competitors.

50m is a reasonable price, maybe 10m off but it’s okay for a player with his talent. Invest in him and our attack is settled for years to come, try a loan for Paredes and somehow fix the defense. I haven’t thought about solutions for the CB department yet but something should happen. That’s my way to go.

Really don't get why people don't want this deal. Our attack is the least of our problem after signing Vlahovic, Di Maria and Kostic, so taking a free Depay for 2 years to add depth to the squad seems reasonable. A better option than paying a fee for Morata or Arnautovic.

If we still have money for transfer fee's it needs to go towards midfield or defense.

Sounds like an Everton mercato. Never let your standards slide. Just because the board gave up on JJ doesn't mean we have to

Di Maria is gone after a year, Chiesa is bound to get minor injuries this year and Kostic ain’t a true winger. We’re thinner than it seems.

One more knee injury for Zaniolo and he enters G.Rossi territory, its a huge gamble. Id be ok with 50m if we loan him for 2 years, pay 10m for the loan and then are obliged to pay 40m only in the case that he is healthy. Hell Id be okay with 60m in this formula, but dedicating a huge sum of money upfront on a player with his injury history sounds like madness.

Depay is a good short term solution in my opinion. He has what it takes to challenge in Serie A and for the time being this is our target. Not only he's coming for free, he will also benefit from the decretto crescita.
Di Maria will be the undoubtful starter this year. For the other wing we have Chiesa, Depay and Kostic. Obviously Chiesa is our main man in the long run but as you said it will take time to have him back at 100%. If we brought a star winger this mercato then Chiesa wouldn't see the field at all this year. Instead, we can invest in a winger next summer when ADM will be gone to partner Chiesa.
All the gurus on VS seem to agree that Juve have the money to spend but they will only do so if the target is:
a) young
b) strong
c) has the right mindset to carry playing with high expectations every three days
d) has resale value
Good example of this are Vlahovic and Bremer which we got recently while the media was linking us to Milik, Aubameyang, Milenkovic, Acerbi and the likes.
Zaniolo doesn't meet the third requirement. Also, his physical issues are a concern.

I want it to happen because the alternative is probably Morata
Yeah.. We wouldnt want a better player with a better attitude..
Morata is soooooo underrated in this forum. Im not saying he is WC as he obviously not but he was MOTM in some of our games while his numbers show he really helps in our attack assists and goals.

Zaniolo is not coming anyway. This dream ended in mid-July. On paper Roma is stronger than us no point moving to Juve atm
and Monza is likely to win Serie A.

Roma are a good team but they are not on the level of Juve and Inter quality wise.
When a coach that can lift the team and make them play well appears you will see how the paper transforms to reality.
At the moment I dont think the guy is Allegri as he shown exactly the opposite but lets hope and wait for actual results.

:lol2:

We’re relegation strugglers now @Cronios
I wouldnt be surprised to see some members actually believe in it.

what? how?
ON PAPER we are the strongest team in Serie A or at least we are on the same level as Inter, but Roma?
Chiesa Kostic Di Maria Vlahovic (Depay) Kean is the best attacking combine in Serie A and maybe one of the best in Europe I suppose. Pogba Locatelli McKennie Zakaria (Paredes) Fagioli is better than Pellegrini Cristante Wijnaldom Matic for sure. in defence Bremer was the best league Cb last season and Bonucci Gatti are at the same level as Mancini Ibanez. they are only better than us on LB position where they have Spina...

In my opinion, only Pellegrini, Zaniolo, Spinazzola and Dybala can be a starter in this Juve from Roma squad but every Juve player except Sandro Rugani MDS will be a starter at Roma.
Roma have improved though, they are more likely to get the 4th place than Napoli IMO

Fagioli better than Pellegrini is quite a stretch. Ive been fanboying him for years but lets not get carried away.

Potentially he is, but Pellegrini is a great player aswel. Would walk with his eyes closed into our line-up.

Same for Wijnaldum tbh. Altough he probably regressed in recent years

Yeah, that's why I said forza Chelsea. If they get Auba then Depay stays at Barca

If we sign Depay there is no space for Zaniolo anymore
@U Picciriddu Actually scratch that. If Rabiot leaves and if we assume Arthur is out of the list we have space for Zaniolo too even with Depay (if Kean is sold though). I thought the UCL registration situation is much worse.

Di Maria-Vlahović-Chiesa
Zaniolo-Depay-Kostić

since he escaped MU he gone back to his normal level. He's better than Moist Kean anyway.
Di Maria, Kostic and Depay are better than what we had last year, even taking Dybala into account.
