I would like somone young but still experienced to be starting. We cant have more than 2 guys that dont have alot of experience. We have Molinaro and this might cause trouble but Chiellini. This doesnt make him any worse in my mind but he needs a smart player next to him. He will be much better with Canna next to him next season. Thats why I wanted Cann in the first place bc he is more than just a defender he is a leader and makes the whole line better.

i think that between de ceglie, criscito and molinaro that the LB spot is covered well for the next season...and can be remedied if needed next year. However the right back spot must be upgraded..with at least one of grygera or zebina sold (hopefully zebina....i think he is a solid player however too injury prone and high wages and older).

This would leave our defence as
RB. New signing , grygera , mellberg
CB. Chiellini, Cannavaro, Legrottaglie ,Ariaudo
LB. De Ceglie, Molinaro , Criscito

Keeping in mind that mellberg and criscito can cover for CB, and de ceglie can cover for LM. I think this is the most realistic defence we can hope for in 09/10 and it will hopefully allow de ceglie, chiellini, ariaudo, new rb and molinaro to improve under cannavaro.

I say economically:

1.) LB should be Criscito
2.) RB should be Motta which i agree on. If we can splurge I say Srna as I have said before.

In my opinion we have two Pillars at CBs that will be able to keep the line much tighter, organized and into the game. I think an above average (not world class) back like motta would allow us to spend more on improving our mediocre tiago/poulsen/aging zanetti.
