What are the symptoms or moyamoya disease?
In children:
- Ischemic symptoms, consisting of recurrent, sometimes alternating episodes of focal cerebral deficit, especially weakness but also speech and sensory symptoms. These are the most typical symptoms.
- Seizures
- Involuntary movement disorders
- Intracranial hemorrhage.
In adults:
- Intracranial hemorrhage is the most common presenting event.
- Ischemic symptoms, such as those in children may also occur.
