Truth be told Marotta is good at his job. So we should probably just all shut up.
    :agree:

He has had a couple slippups but has done enough wonders for all of us to sit back and relax. :numnum:

How could Benatia work only as a benchwarmer?

He's a world class CB who was rarely injured before this past season. Only a benchwarmer. You're absurd. Beyond absurd.

Not to mention, I clearly showed that Khedira played nearly triple the minutes he did his last season at Madrid. He's been slowly building back up durability since his ACL injury mid-way through the 2013-14 season which kept him out until the beginning of 14/15 and which is the source of his injury woes over the last couple seasons. Obviously it's working for Juventus, as he tripled his minutes from last year.

By the way, before that ACL rupture, Khedira played over 3000 minutes in 5 straight seasons, and was not injury prone at all... And he's working his way back to that with the Juventus fitness staff, as shown by the massive increase in workload compared to 13/14 and 14/15.

    :agree:

Amazing signing if we get him on loan. Beppe really is the mercato god when it comes to stealing world class players for peanuts. :beppe:
You have like reading comprehension issues with my posts.

What im trying to say is that his recovery could go much smoother because he has 3 very good starters in front of him and he will be under no pressure to get his fitness back, without risking using him the moment he is available.

Khedira on the other hand, is an undisputed starter and will be used always he is available. There were moments when he was used straight after he was available after an injury, just to get relapsed.
Thats why i say we need a cover for him, a quality one to use him when he inevitably gets injured. And thats also why we need to sell asamoah.

We just cant have Marchisio, Khedira and Asamoah in their current state. Asa should be sold, Khedira and Marchisio need realiable back ups who can even contest their position.

How many teams in the world would kill to have 5 CB's such as Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Benatia, and Rugani at their disposal?

You know one team who would? The team that we just got Benatia from.

Take a step back and look at that for a moment. And then stop and take a look at our fullbacks. Lichtsteiner, Alves, Evra, Alex Sandro.

    Come on.

    COME ON.................................................

And yes, I know that some people are going to wonder about where the young guns are going to come from in this squad, but....

    A) In my opinion, I would rather have experience on the back line, and

    B) They are not worried about what this defense looks like in a couple of years, they are worried about what it looks like NOW. They want to win the CL now.

This defense goes a long, long way to making that happen

You called the "Khedira experiment" a failure. It wasn't a failure. He came on a free with our management clearly aware that he would need to be used with caution this past year, which is exactly what they did, and managed to get him to almost 2000 minutes which is as much as his previous 2 seasons combined. This is also the reason we had 9 midfielders in the squad this past year and also brought in Lemina and Hernanes.

Free transfer, 2000 minutes played, integral to repeating a double in a transition year... That's a resounding success any way you look at it.

We needed an upgrade on our midfield bench this year anyways. We have Lemina who can push the starters as he matures, and need to upgrade at least Hernanes to more of a B2B type who can push Khedira for playing time. Regardless of whether Khedira is healthy or not.

    :agree:

Plus, people complain about us not being able to get established world class players, now we sign one and we're suddenly worried again about an inconsistent young defender who is 1-3 years of development away from being a Juve quality starter. Rugani will get tons of playing time, but he should not be a starter at all yet.

We keep Pogba and rid the midfield injuries then...wow.

A full strength Juve is frightening

And if I'm Rugani right now I'm thanking my lucky stars I'm surrounded by literally the best backline and defense on the planet. What better environment to work your way into.

    Goodness.

Dont forget getting one south american champion bomber and another dude in midfield. And we are set.

bring in Mandragora and recover him, and then yeah.
