Paolo Mazzoleni has been confirmed as the referee for Saturday’s Italian Super Cup clash between Juventus and Napoli.
The official presided over the Bianconeri on three occasions last season, all contested away from home. Two of these were played in the championship (draws against Catania and Parma), while he also oversaw the 2-1 Coppa Italia victory over Milan at the San Siro. Juventus have won four, drawn four and lost just once under his stewardship.
Mazzoleni will be assisted in Beijing by Renato Faverani and Andrea Edoardo Stefani. The two additional assistants, to be positioned behind the goal-line, have been named as Nicola Rizzoli and Paolo Tagliavento. Mauro Bergonzi is the fourth official.
