We don´t need Maxi, it woudn't be a wiser buy...
We must sell Tiago if Ranieri doesn't change is formation, and don't think he would.
But not for a player that we don´t need...

He's a good player no doubt, but I would not classify him among the top wingers, far from even.
Wingers who are better than him are out of reach though, Ben Arfa maybe is the only exception, frankly i cant think of better wingers that are available.

of course, Lyon dont want to sell him yet though, my guess is that both he and Benzema will probably stay in Lyon for one more season.

Benzema just signed a new contract with Lyon, so he isnt going anywhere. He rejected Man Utd, because he prefers the Spanish League not because he "hates" man utd.

Ben Arfa on the other hand is yet to sign a new contract, he rejected lyons offers of a new contract, which is why they havent been playing him lately. I'm guessing he wants to leave this summer, but Aulas wont let him, if he does move though, it will be for a lot more than 12M no less than 20M is my guess.

Secco Discusses Tiago-Maxi Exchange In Madrid

Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco has held talks in Spain with Atletico Madrid over a swap deal involving Tiago Mendes and Maxi Rodriguez.

Tiago only signed for Juve from Lyon last summer in a €13m deal, however he has been a huge disappointment in Serie A.

The Bianconeri tried to offload him during the January transfer window, but were disappointed when the player rejected a €10m move to Premiership-side Tottenham Hotspur.

Atletico Madrid were also linked with a transfer during that time, and they are still interested in signing the player.

The much-maligned Alessio Secco has been involved in negotiations with Atletico over a possible swap deal, which would see Argentine star Maxi Rodriguez move to Turin.

The 27-year-old, can play in midfield and on the wing, and is a skilful and tricky customer.

The player, who holds Italian citizenship, is most famous for scoring probably the best goal at World Cup 2006, during Argentina’s second round classic against Mexico.

He was also involved in the infamous brawl that followed the quarter-final defeat to Germany, when he punched Bastian Schweinsteiger, leading to a heavy fine and a two-match suspension from FIFA competition
