Can Icardi co-exist with Ronaldo? Icardi needs the whole team built around servicing him, which probably won't sit well with Ronaldo who won't want to be a mere assist man to Icardi. Didn't Real get rid of Higuain for this reason, and kept Benzema instead for Ronaldo to play off of?

The thing is, why would you build the whole system around Icardi at the expense of Ronaldo? It makes little sense since Ronaldo can do everything Icardi can and better.... plus much, much more. Making Ronaldo “an assist man” would be the most ludicrous use of his abilites - especially for a lesser player at that. It would be a pointless signing. It would merely be a power move, nothing more.

I hate him but I could see him pleying with Ronaldo. Ronaldo wouldnt mearily be an assist man just like when playing with Mandzukic. Another goal scorer could actually open op more space for Roanldo to have 1v1 which he dominates. I do think that it would mean switchin formations to more of a 4-3-1-2 hybrid formation and maybe even getting Isco are a player like that to accomodate

Yeah its not but has other things that are better. Thats why I said a change of system would probably be neccesary similar to a 4-3-1-2. It could be a 4-3-3 or diamond mid hybrid but would need an attacking mid type pleyer that could push wide. Berna or Dybala could do this but not sure if Dybs is strong enough defensively. Id like James for this role as well.
