Mauro Camoranesi has told Juventus that he wants to follow Patrick Vieira and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Inter.

Although the club have told him that he will not leave Turin, Camoranesi has long since informed the demoted giants that he has no intention of playing in Serie B.

The Nerazzurri are interested in the world champion and are convinced that they can successfully swoop, despite the Old Lady insisting that the player has to respect his contract.

Juventus are, however, aware that keeping a player against his will may be counterproductive and will consider their options if an adequate bid is received.

The former Verona winger’s agent has also added fuel to the fire by confirming the Nerazzurri’s interest in his client.

“Inter are a great club, exactly the team where Mauro would want to continue his career,” Sergio Fortunato told the Corriere dello Sport.

“He needs new motivation and would very much enjoy playing in the Champions League.

“Massimo Moratti’s club is definitely an option that Camoranesi welcomes.

“We now only need to understand what Juve’s position will be.”

The Bianconeri are understood to have rejected bids of £4.2m from Valencia and Lyon for a player they deem is worth at least £5m.

Meanwhile, the Turin outfit is close to finalising a £2.8m move for Jean Alain Boumsong of Newcastle.

The French international defender is scheduled to sign a four-year contract with the Bianconeri on Tuesday.

Funny how none of these articles ever contain a single quote of Camoranesi himself.

well thts wot i said, aswell as that its funny how each day the agent sumhow comes up with a new club that he's been linked with, despite the fact inter ruled out some days ago of any swoop for camo, and valencia chasing simao, and lyons bid becomming a stumbling block, 20 quid its real madrid or milan tomoz :)

probably doesn't want to get the fans pissed too much so he sends his agent to do the dirty work. it's his job after all. quite similar to ibra.

True, but if he really wants to leave, I would think he would say so himself, especially after Secco's comment that he is confident that Camoranesi will stay. Atleast he could personnaly say something to refute that comment if he really wants to leave. I'm with Dominic on this one, it's his agent who wants to make some quick money.

that's a big possibility as well, but if camo is certain of saying why he allow his manager such comments? i mean sure it could get him his pay rise, but not the fans affection. i don't know but i'm pretty sure camo just plain simply doesn't want to play in b and he has his manager to do everything to get him out of here.

if he wants to go that badly, then let him go, we dont want anybodyx who doesn't want to play for the team - just don't sell him to inter, they took our title, ibra, viera, and I think that that is enough for the next 100 years - sell him to lyon or valencia
