He seemed like an unnecessary transfer from the beginning. It's not like I wasn't happy with him coming here but we could have spent those money in a better way back then.

Sure, but why give him to a historic rival so they have one less headache to deal with? $#@! him off to Newcastle or something coz whether we like it or not, he is a good player and his time at Juve was not enough to prove otherwise.
If I'm not mistaken, co-ownerships don't work outside Italy unless both teams are agreeing to sell.

In this case, Inter is the only option since Udinese aren't ready to sell Isla's %50.

Sky are saying Udinese have the last word in this deal.

And Udinese's DS is saying that if Isla goes to Inter he will be jointly owned by them and Inter.(Juventus wont be involved)
