On his day, few can be as useful as him in his position. I hope he re-finds his form soon, not that we're feeling his absence much with Lichtsteiner and Padoin.

What is the story with Isla??? Perhaps I am lacking knowledge of the severity of the injury he was still suffering from when we signed him??? was/is it something which will take a whole season to recover from well enough to be in a position to find the kind of form we have paid (or are set to pay in total) 18m for???

Really baffled with Conte and his Atalanta fantasy.

As much as Padoin's improved,Isla should be starting ahead of him simple as.I mean just looking at both players we can tell who has more quality and besides the fact that Padoin's end product is severely lacking.I mean in the last game like 90% of his final balls were all blocked.Cant believe he has been reduced to just a Coppa Italia sub lol..Really hope he finds space in the team in the coming months.

I am always amazed how quickly people will brand a player a flop.

Under normal circumstances, I think a player should be given at least half to a full season to settle in to a team. Of course when a player is coming from a team within the same league it is usually quicker. However, is everyone forgetting what this guy is coming back from? Was it not an ACL tear? Who was the last player to come back firing on all cylinders after such an injury. While I was expecting a bit more form Isla from now I am willing to give him until next season.

Talking about beppe.... this isla guy is turning into a flop..... slowly but surely.

He's coming back from an ACL tear. It hasn't even been a year yet since that injury was suffered. He's still young enough to fully recover, but give it some time, at least.
