Or where you want to go if you want to hide your incompetence behind even bigger incompetence
I agree, the same thing happens in the corporate world.

If you really can't be fucked, be a chaos vulture. Embrace the confusion. Does the company have non-existent onboarding? Poor management? Little direction, follow-up, or reviews? Constantly changing & capricious goals? These are the hallmarks of a bad company... so revel in their misery. Actively seek these places out. This gives you room to coast, to avoid being on anyone's radar, etc. Restrained mediocre effort will be considered "going above and beyond." Even if you slip, you can easily blame "the system", like everyone else at the place. Every single day, week, month of this is more money in your pocket. Stretch it out as long as possible.

Sounds like a nightmare but people do it.

"De Ligt thought he would improve by leaving Juventus but in reality he's worsened a lot since leaving Juve." "He was amazing under Allegri. He was perfect in marking, in positioning on the field, He was one of the strongest players in Italy." - Ruud Kroll, Dutch coach

Come on guys, he wasn’t that bad with us. I agree that he was nowhere near as good as the fees we paid for him. He did goof up with the handballs. And, I didn’t appreciate his comments when he left us for BM. But he was quite solid overall in a team [at the end of a 9-year winning cycle and] requiring a major overhaul.

I certainly liked him more than bumucci, half the time the mistakes De Ligt made was because of bumucci

stop covering for barzagli. Notice he never became a star until he started playing with bonuccci.
bonucci carried that defence for years. between covering for barza defensive errors and chiellini not being able to complete a 1 metre pass.

bonucci was the real hero

Don't know what to think of this, especially as it doesn't come from any German media. On the other hand it could have some truth to it, else it don't make sense why we were desperate to sell him after only 2 years.

When he was away from tactical sessions due to constant injuries couldn't expect him to be flexible.
