He didn't ask to elave actually we told him to leave, there's nothing to suggest from past dealing that this mgmt is like you describe, quite the opposite actually. Plus we have leverage, his contract is up in 2 years.
I hope you are right, I am not that optimistic about getting the most out of this sale. The figure I suggested earlier is not that bad mind you but we can get a lot more if we play it right.

We are inferior though. Dominating cannon fodder opposition only to be owned consistently by mediocre opposition in Europe over the past 3-4 seasons delineates this harsh reality.

We haven't won Europe's Elite competition in over 25 years!
Bayern have been stronger last 15 years let's say but it doesn't mean we are behaving like Gladbach when the mighty Bayern comes knocking.

Madrid have been eliminated in 1/8 for several years straight before dominating the competition again recently so anything can happen.

The only rush to make this happen is the risk of losing out in Bremer as his replacement to Merda.
Otherwise we’re still in a strong negotiating position and can cash in on him next year if required providing he doesn’t have a car crash of a season.

Just don't bend over. It has to be 80m+ deal at worst, preferably 90-100m considering the hype.

Still, with 80m you could easily land Bremer and Zaniolo or Bremer + another classy CM. I have a feeling MDL's sale is not only his wish, the club wants it too.

In the end Bremer + Zaniolo > MDL, especially with Di Maria and Pogba already in the bag.

Honestly, if we move De Ligt, we need to use the incoming funds for two CBs.

Gatti is raw as fuck as product, Rugani is nothing, Bonucci was supposedly told he won't be a regular starter this year and is already 35, and Danilo isn't a straightup CB even though he was very good at the position and possibly might be put there permanently (although the recent news that Allegri considers him a midfielder is hilarious since we have midfielders coming out our ears).

We desperately need a CB WITHOUT selling De Ligt. Selling De Ligt means we need two imo

Yeah Bremer is really the best possible solution at the moment and we need to make sure we dont lose him to merda or any other team.. theres been really few good cbs nowadays and I agree we need 2cbs with mdl leaving.. Wasnt Pavard pretty good at one stage, has he really gone downhill?

Danilo is the modern day CB when you really break it down, so if anything we need another RB so he can focus on being a more central player imo. I like the idea of a Danilo-KK/Bremer partnership with Bonucci and Gatti as depth.
