Some really enjoy the craft they're in or really buy into the company's mission. Doesnt mean money doesn't matter or that they'd be okay being underpaid.

Not to mention that most clubs dump players as soon as they don't need them. Expecting players to play for "the sport" without any such expectation of the clubs (ie. the Agnellis and Glazers types) is not fair.

They are not exclusive, i didn't mean so. But players nowadays are massively overpaid, theres less incentive to work hard and leave a legacy. Maybe modern players have shit values as well. Either or both
