No sane person will wake up in the morning and say to themselves "you know what? I'm going to let this greedy slob decide my career."
Imagine for a second that De Ligt is not a cynical, "enlightened" Tuz poster but a young professional footballer, who has spent years concentrated on his game rather than Tuz, overwhelmed by his sudden arrival as one of the most desired players in all of the football world. All sorts of offers of flooding in from Europe's top sides, Ajax is in there too adding their input. But really he has no fandom loyalty to any of these clubs, it is a career for him and the best opportunity is what matters. Either way his future is looking promising playing football, earning millions.

Good thing he has one of the most reputable agents in the world to help him sort through this.

:disagree: A day on Tuz would have him an expert on all facets of life.

This whole De Ligt saga.. He thinks its the Bachelor and in the last show he said goodbye to Barcelona.. WTF man just say who you want and thats it..
He probably already knows where he wants to go, however Riaola is just negotiating the best terms. I actually doubt de Ligt refused Barcelona altogether. This might very well be tactics, Raiola doing all the tricks he has up his sleeve.
Also, I really don't think that Raiola is 'placing' de Ligt somewhere just for the money. De Ligt seems like a smart dude, so I think he has informed Raiola where he would like to go and Raiola is just trying to provide, not the other way around.

Well if he goes rationally and think what is best for his career in terms of his defensive skills its obvious that there are 2 teams in Europe that he should consider and reject everything else (Juve and Atletico)

If he wants money and career its Man City
If money is the only thing which matters its PSG

Barcelona indeed isnt best for him and it doesnt matter how you look at it - The only thing Barca can offer that others cant is his buddy De Jong...
