Really don't agree in any way with that. Both playing at their average level, I'd happily say De Sciglio is a better player.

I think Darmian was vastly overrated here during his time at Torino because he he scored against us once by tacking a truly terrible first touch to get past some atrocious defending.

He was genuinely a good FB at Torino (last 2 or 3 yrs there) and for the first six months at Utd. Also played well for Italy at that time. Wasn't overrated.

Relax. He's just coming here to be a backup to Sandro. For some reason, it's always better to have Italians as reserves. They never complain and stay ready. He's literally a copy of De Sciglio. Both solid defensive fullbacks who are two footed and are from AC Milan. And just like De Sciglio, Allegri will make a decent fullback out of him.
