And people still give AS a hard time for his lack of motivation and not signing another one of the cheap bargains offered to him last summer, while ofc totally iggnoring that the guy accepted to play another full season here on a 2.8m/year, despite arguably being one of the top 3 best LB's in the world in the past couple of years.

But a mediocre Darmian on 3.5m/y is alright lol

i wouldnt actually mind him for 2-2.5 mills, but here we are matching his united salary which he got after a few great seasons for Torino. he doesent deserve that much right now

yes, and Can apparently on 6M, thats more than twice over AS and almost double of Mandzukic for example

some of our best players really earn pocket change here, no wonder they all want to eave

Dumpian is better than all our previous fullbacks(Licht and Asa) and current fullbacks except for maybe an in form Sandro

People rating him like he's some Padoin/Sturaro level player... He's levels above that.

So we somehow ended up with the future Italian Zambrotta/Maldini :touched:

Even Man U fans don't think he's bad. Let's not forget he was one of the best fullbacks in Italy when they signed him. Mourinho just simply loves to ostracize good players.

Juventus have found an agreement with Manchester United for Darmian at €12m, Matteo will sign a 5-year contract. (Sportmediaset)

    Very good deal. Welcome !

So Spina, Caldara, Can, Dumpian possibly Perin all under €30M ? Not a bad start to the mercato. Need to save funds for that big midfield signing.

He's better than De Sciglio too.
Nobody necessarily denying it, just that some were probably expecting an proper upgrade on that position whereas Darmian is basically more or less on the same level as our 17/18 RB's, perhaps better, but not by much imo, and that's a rather average level to be compared to in the first place.

Point is nobody would mind him if he eventually turns out good, but tbf skepticism is fairly justified atm.
